Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
That’s how I read it nomlungu - Ascendant, Endeavour and Cerrado are all down over the last couple of months so this would offset some of that….
By way of a change, not guilty today!
Interesting observation. The strengthening dollar will also be a bit of a buffer in the fall off of some our gold-focussed USD/CAD denominated shareholdings
Sorry, Quadrum not Quantum..
Hi Quantum, that has been discussed before and it’s that which provided some with a bit of uncertainty.
It's definitely a different one. The name Golden Sun is not uncommon unfortunately (there were similarly named companies in Asia as well as the Americas). I don't think there was any rush for "our" Golden Sun to be listed and it would have been flagged as a possible event in the 6 month interims...
Isn't that a different Golden Sun? Lithium rather than Costa Rica gold...
And there it is, right on time..the Ascendant raise to make sure MAFL get their next instalment:

Don't foresee any problems with them achieving this...
Ascendant Resources up 12.5% today...
Still surprised that ASND don't take a stake in MAFL as it would be like getting cashback on their remaining instalments. I believe we still own 2,240,000 shares in ASND (RNS 03/07/2019) unless I've missed any disposals so we should get some leverage from that too.
I was being quoted about 10.5p to buy earlier in the week so the spread isn't/wasn't quite as quoted but your point about liquidity is well made.
Hi Baz, welcome back!
Net volume is flat on the day now (slightly ahead on buys when I last looked..). I'm happy buying at these levels.
Interesting...
I've had a couple more buys at this level. I'm trusting that patience will be rewarded...
HI Brel, I'm guessing that the Cap Energy investment remains valued at £200k after the writedown in y/e 06/21 so nothing more to report. Perhaps Ascendant has been moved to tactical so the timescales are less long-term for our investment in them and JV thinks there's more money to be made being nimble elsewhere on a shorter timeframe. When we get the instalments from Ascendant much of this has already been factored in on a discounted cashflow basis so the profits are not just these payments.
