more like the hurricanes are back.... wonder how far down this will land?
Although I am sure this wont kill the witch hunt on machines, it is at least putting some real facts on the table rather than politicians exaggerations http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/leisure/10656131/Betting-leaders-set-out-code-for-fixed-odds-gaming.html
Thanks for the advice, both of which are very sensible. The stop loss option will keep me on the first group bus lol.
GS I jumped in with FGP in December, so happy with my profit. I wonder if the Sandell comments of a break up has fuelled the rise and if so, is it getting time to get out? Got any views?
Here is the gist of the announcement...... http://www.fool.co.uk/investing/2014/01/09/rsa-insurance-group-plc-hints-at-forthcoming-dividend-cut/ wow a free roller coaster ride this year is right.
Have to believe there could be another profits warning on the way... http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/article-2529633/RSA-weather-storms-flooding-wreak-havoc-Britain.html Still in RSA but have cashed in the shares I bought when the shares dropped to 82p just to bank some profit
http://beta.fool.co.uk/investing/2013/12/23/can-rsa-insurance-group-plcs-share-price-return-to-676p/ Think we are in for some tears and excitement in the next few months
I accept the final divi is likely to be badly hit in March, which is likely to lead to a drop in the SP even further, but I feel my longer term glass is half full in respect of RSA and highlight the following from the Motley Fool link ".....analysts’ consensus forecasts have been downgraded for 2013, but remain fairly positive for next year..."
Is there something new out? Or is it the normal SCRIP deal I cant find it on line and am not at home to check post.
Question .... when do they buy shares for SCRP? If Dividend is due 22nd, do they buy on that day?
All will be revealed next week:: Caroline de La Soujeole, at Cantor, told clients: “The main question mark surrounding the results is whether Mr Almanza will announce a rights issue. G4S is not, in our view, in dire need of cash . . . and disposal of its US business, expected in the second half, should provide some relief.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/epic/gfs/10264205/G4S-set-to-address-debt-pile.html
Are G4S doing a Rights Issue? I found hinting of it on net but cannot find anything definite Ta
Could be people were surprised in the 33 Could be the 33% reduction in the dividend.... forgetting the cut in the last dividend. I think this is a buying opportunity, but cant decided between this and BARC.
Yes I have jumped in. I think the fool finally talked me into it :) http://www.fool.co.uk/news/investing/company-comment/2013/07/03/3-contrarian-buy-ideas-for-july.aspx : Lagged the market by 28% during the last twelve months; Dividend up 81% between 2007 and 2012; Forecast P/E of 11 and projected yield of 4.2% at 230p
....onward and upward dear RSA. I think this is a good hold share even with the reduction in the divi. Hopefully that will start to increase in a couple of years.
For every buy there is always a sell forecast..... Three research analysts have rated the stock with a sell rating, nine have given a hold rating, seven have given a buy rating and one has issued a strong buy rating to the company. The company presently has an average rating of “Hold” and an average target price of GBX 126.70 ($1.93). So my trusty old penny is the answer. and it came down... heads.. hold http://tickerreport.com/rsa-insurance-groups-sell-rating-reaffirmed-at-panmure-gordon-rsa/8466/
I think "indecision" is the best tool for share dealing at the moment as RSA seems to be on a gradual climb North back to old heights
maybe I should change my name to Time2Sell.(or time2Bindecisive) I agree about the divi, but it is still attractive even with the cut this year
Why isn't RSA moving up with the market? I thought insurance shares move in line with rises in the market. Why is RSA different? Cant decide if this is a sell hold or buy. Got a splinter sitting on the fence
Good find Billy... most interesting part I thought was “In addition, the dividend is under pressure, we believe. The big issue in recent years has been the dividend growing much faster than the balance sheet. “This has been good for shareholders’ income, but dividend growth must now slow.
