I've received both my share certificate and a welcome letter asking me to register my details with Computershare for payment of dividends and receipt of annual reports etc. Whole process took 2 weeks from requesting paper share certificate from my broker Halifax.
I've chosen to convert to paper share certificate. I don't see any downside to this and if you leave them with your broker you may not be able to trade if and when that is allowed again. The RNS stated
"It is anticipated that after the Termination Date CREST members will not be able to transfer the Company’s shares electronically due to the fact that EVRAZ, as holder of the register, will not have access to the CREST clearing system and all transactions will need to go through the Company with a stock transfer form and can be subject to a stamp duty."
Buckeye - but the shares may never trade on lse again and move to another exchange in which case you are unlikely to be able to trade without a paper certificate. I'm with Abject Performer - having a share certificate covers all eventualities

Ianb - if you believe that then you are deluding yourself. Why do up to 90% of them end up in the black economy paying back the loans from the traffikers that got them here and that's according to Stop The Traffic which works globally to help migrants in this situation. And why are over 90% of them young men if they are fleeing persecution?
