Let's firstly put aside some of the, frankly, ludicrous comments over the past few hours from people that, from their words, seem to think that a business runs on thin air, and that we didn't need any funding...You're either another de-ramper, or you're clueless about the company.

Shaun Day has made it patently clear, for nearly a year now, that he's been talking to the banks and looking at various term sheets. He's also made it clear that the funding would probably require a mix of debt & equity, which is usually the case anyway. He has the figures, so you either accept that he's doing the right thing in the ratio mix, or he isn't. With all of his past experience in the industry, in all fields, and with the excellent team he has behind him IMHO, he is!

The path forward is clearing. The legacy issues are behind us. We still have 30% of Havieron!

So, how would you suggest that the required funding would have been done then?!

I still cannot fathom out people that really thought that we'd not require funding at some point for our share in Havieron, and now we have it, as most likely, a mix of an institutional placing, and, bank finance!

I've no doubt that the impending bank finance required some form of placing.

@ Freddie2 I'll be honest, I still haven't figured you out! You seem to support GGP, but, then again, you still, maybe, fall into those that I sight as being likely to post negatives that you've seen, whilst still appearing positive? Am I right?

Amazing!! Anyone, that'd done even the most basic of research, has known for some considerable time now, that we'd need financing going forwards. Shaun Day has been talking to financial institutions, to discuss term sheets, for nearly a year now, and has made that patently clear, pretty much every time he's been on an investor webinar in that time frame too! He's just been waiting for the legacy issues to be sorted out. They now have, thankfully!

Yet, now, we have the usual, clueless, unresearched, de-rampers, unsurprisingly, dropping in the likes of:

"...even though Newcrest will have first call should their loan be defaulted."

And, "I've been an investor in GGP guys, just like you, BUT, blah, blah, blah (negative comment follows!)

Essentially, absolutely nothing has changed in the past week, or so! The gold & copper is still there, and since the latest MRE updates, based on drilling many months ago, we're still open in all directions at Havieron!

If you want to listen to these de-rampers, then that's your choice. I'm all for free speech, but sometimes I'm just amazed at their total lack of understanding & research, which is no surprise really, as they'll probably all pretty much, suddenly, disappear, yet again, when the sp rises again, as it undoubtedly will!

Whether it was a non-binding offer, or not, do you really think that the MD would make such an offer without having the finance available, one way, or another, should Newcrest Mining have accepted the offer?! It would be a serious error to make such an offer, to then just withdraw it, should the offer then have been accepted. We'd be the laughing stock of the industry, let alone the damage it would have done to the companies reputation going forwards, and their power of negotiation.

Another scenario is that we hit great valuable mineralisation in one of our other tenements, either J/V, or 100% owned.

We continue to base our Havieron model on the SE Crescent PFS, adjusted for Mar’22 Reserves, with the addition of our provisional estimates for an assumed caving operation to be developed within the lower grade breccia zones. Indeed, Certainly, to a degree, IMHO, Biswas is looking at a very different, much larger picture, involving a great deal more than Shaun Day and we are, at this time. Biswas is juggling a whole ream of issues for Newcrest, globally, as well as the likes of shareholder dividends, especially during his tenure...How much longer?!

IMHO, Shaun Day has more than proved his worth in these negotiations, and has played a trump card!

Quite frankly, I'm amazed at the speed that this is all happening!

I've never, in my nearly 35 years+ of investing in the gold mining industry (among other investments too!) seen the speed that Havieron has been developed. It feels like just a few weeks ago when we announced the commencement of the underground decline at Havieron on the 12th May 2021!

First ore is scheduled for early 2024!

This is an incredible speed, and something that I've never seen before!

Sure, there may be some delay, due to the recent issues in the decline, but, let's be quite straight here, how often does anything run smoothly, 100% of the time?!

From all reports we're now over this issue, and we're still looking at probably one of the fastest mine development periods, from start, to first ore, ever!

What's more, we're also looking at mining significant high grade gold & copper right away...

@ Aquakidd, "If GGP offered newcrest $85 million for an additional 5% (which was turned down ) ,you would be totally irresponsible to offer it without funding in place, imagine if newcrest had agreed and nothing in place to cover it , SD would have been a laughing stock ,so obviously some negotiations with financial investors has already occurred, so you would think they would have discussed the possibility of newcrest not excepting the 5%..."

EXACTLY! A point I also made on Friday. Sometimes, I just cannot fathom out why some people just don;t do the most baic of research, and think things through. Clearly, Shaun Day would have discussed the possibility that Newcrest Mining wouldn't take the 5% in the term sheets. He's been discussing these with the banks for almost a year now, awaiting clarification, and now we have it! And, yes, there is no way, whatsoever, that he'd have made the offer of the $85 million, unless he'd had that type of financing well thought through. and discussed with the relevant parties.

Maybe you didn't pick up on Shaun Day's comments about the, still, good relationship with Newcrest Mining in his interview?

You don't just 'cut off your nose to spite your face' in situations like this!

It's a balancing act!

We could well still need, and I'm inclined to believe, likely, Newcrest Mining for any future J/V, and indeed, IMHO, any hit at Scally, again, as Shaun Day has indicated, many times, and rightly so, would mean that we'd add that, clearly to our advantage, maybe to the Havieron J/V.

Just keep your options open, and don't upset the apple cart!

If there is anyone that has the experience & knowledge to know that, it's our MD, no doubt, whatsoever!
