Wyloo Metals (Wyloo) is pleased to announce an equity funding package of up to A$120 million, becoming the largest shareholder in Greatland Gold plc (Greatland).

Wyloo will subscribe for 430,024,390 ordinary shares, priced at 8.2 pence per share, totalling A$60 million and approximately 8.6% of Greatland’s shares on issue.

Wyloo will also receive warrants to subscribe for an additional 352,620,000 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 10.0 pence per share which, if exercised in full, will realise gross proceeds of approximately A$60m (c.£35m).

The investment will contribute towards the funding of Greatland’s thirty per cent share of the Havieron copper-gold development project, enabling Greatland to be fully funded through to production and future free cash flow, as well as Greatland’s ongoing exploration in the Paterson region of Western Australia....

There's regularly been chat about Havieron, and how deep the mother lode(s) could actually go!

We're clearly still open at depth, with the latest growth drill holes probing to see, just maybe, how deep the valuable mineralisation actually goes, both high grade, and lower grade.

Here are some examples, and, who know's, Havieron may well be added, even possibly to the top of the list, as deep mining technology develops, over the next few decades, as Havieron, inevitably, IMHO, grows further.

Sure, there will always be deep drilling cost v reward, but that's all part of your views on any investment.

A new piece on Newcrest Mining by Taylor Dart at Seeking Alpha, who's pretty much up to speed on what's been happening over the past few years, since he regularly writes about them:

SUMMARY

Newcrest released its FY2022 results last month, reporting annual production of ~1.96 million ounces of gold at all-in sustaining costs of $1,043/oz.

This marked a decline in output FY2021 and a sharp rise in costs, but 2023 should look much different with full contribution from Brucejack & higher production from Lihir.

Longer-term, Newcrest appears confident that it can take over the crown as the lowest-cost gold producer sector-wide, a feat that will require major capital spending.

While this could continue to weigh on free cash flow generation, patient investors should be rewarded handsomely, so I would view further weakness as a buying opportunity.

Heard nothing at all. All I know is that they have their Alpine Copper Project in Taz.

Wonder if that's what gave the sp a bit of a push towards close, with some bigger buys? Hopefully we'll follow that up with some more moves north on Monday too...!

Indeed, also unusual to see a rise right at the end of the day too! Usually, if there is one on any news, it's early on, and then peters out/falls! Hope this is a good omen!
