Indeed! Another great day to top up on GGP, if you're inclined, and able to do so, and another day, IMHO, that justifies, in part at least, a GGP de-list from AIM completely in the not too distant future.

The only way that Wyloo could buy out the Newcrest/Newmont 70% of Havieron would be if we turned it down under our ROFR and/or we had a contractual agreement with Wyloo.

Sorry, what are you taking about?

We have a Havieron J/V agreement with Newcrest Mining. J/V agreements are a major part of nearly every mining company in the world. Newcrest Mining is still a company, and I've heard nothing to suggest that it won't continue as a company (as part of Newmont Corporation). The agreement will therefore, most likely, still remain between Newcrest Mining and Greatland.

Even if Newmont were to take over the Havieron Joint Venture, the terms & conditions would remain, as is absolutely normal in any such commercial agreements. To suggest that any contractual clause about "first ,equal bid opportunity to buy Hav70%" would change is absolute nonsense!

Mr Maru said in a statement that: “Newmont has no current plans to maintain current listing on our exchange...“This merger has significant ramifications for PNG’s capital markets and the interests of local Papua New Guinea.”"

IF indeed the case, that Newcrest de-lists from the PNGX, and Newmont is not interested in a listing, it could well have implications for the Wafi-Golpu project (Joint venture between subsidiaries of Harmony and Newcrest) especially possible further delays in licencing, which we've already seen for years now.

Wafi-Golpu is one of the main Newcrest gold/copper growth projects, along with Havieron.

With respect tiggerman, what are your specific "lack of update info and general reporting", apart from the updated MRE, which we've already been advised, on several ocassions, should be in August, aligned with our JV partner Newcrest, when they normally report universally. If Newcrest don't report on Havieron in August, it's my understanding that Shaun Day may do so. He believes that this is the best timeframe, and in our best interest, and that could well be for other factors we may not be aware of (eg. sensitive ongoing negotiations with other parties), and which I wouldn't expect to be made aware of at this time. Do you want us to fall out with our JV partner?

Shaun Day has made it clear that the AIM listing will remain, and. should you wish to trade in the ASX as well, then it's just as easy anyway, as it's an accepted HMRC market for ISA investments, and provided by many investment platforms already.

I've never really wished to bin anyone over the many years on LSE, and have so far only done so once. You're now the second!

An interesting comment on government funds in Australia to invest in critical minerals. My best guess is that the likes of this will increase over the years, and it may well be something that we'll be able to 'take advantage' of, especially in relation to copper, but also other criticals that lie in our increasing portfolio...

For example, Australia’s export credit agency, Export Finance Australia, set up the Critical Minerals Facility to fill gaps in private financing for critical minerals projects. In 2022, the agency agreed to lend Australia miner Iluka Resources US$1.05 billion to build a fully integrated rare earths separation facility in Western Australia. The Australian Government is also directing a portion of its US$15 billion National Reconstruction Fund to critical minerals companies that build processing, refining or manufacturing capacity in the country."
