It's my understanding, and Shaun Day has already stated, I believe, that it would require shareholder approval, and my best guess is that the Greatland Gold Plc BOD would announce an EGM. That would require a minimum of 14 days notice.

acquisition of warrentinna / firetower projects

during the quarter8, the company exercised its option to proceed with purchasing the warrentinna gold project and the

advanced firetower gold and battery metals project from greatland pty ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of greatland gold plc (aim:ggp) (“greatland”). consideration for the purchase of the projects under the terms of the option agreement was:

initial consideration - 2,000,000 ***** ordinary shares, at a deemed price of $0.10/share;

deferred consideration – a. $500,000 payable upon the definition of a combined mineral resource of 500,000oz au on the projects, (payable in cash or shares to an equivalent value, at *****’s election); b. $500,000 payable upon the issue of a permit to mine, (payable in cash or shares to an equivalent value, at *****’s election); and c. 1% net smelter royalty to greatland on all production from the projects.

edgi grants

as part of the review process completed by ***** during the option period, the company identified drill targets at the firetower and warrentinna projects which potentially qualified for co-funding under the tasmanian state government’s exploration drilling grant initiative (edgi). edgi, is a state government initiative to co-fund greenfield exploration drilling projects. *****’s applications targeting the firetower west prospect and the golden mara prospect at warrentinna were successful, to the combined grant amount of $132,000.

exploration targeting and planning for both the firetower and warrentinna projects continued during the quarter and the company anticipates providing further updates in the coming months. exploration work program proposals for drilling at both projects have been submitted to mrt.

Greatland Gold has completed drilling on its 100 per cent owned Scallywag tenement located in its Greater Paterson project.

The Scallywag project is made up of four wholly-owned granted exploration licences: Scallywag, Pascalle, Rudall and Black Hills North, located adjacent to and around the Havieron project.

Havieron is a high-grade gold-copper project centred on a deep magnetic anomaly located in Western Australia, approximately 485km southeast of Port Hedland and 45km east of Telfer. It is a joint venture between Greatland (30 per cent) and Newcrest Mining (70 per cent).

At the Scallywag tenement, ten holes were completed for 3241m drilled, targeting conductors from ground electromagnetic (EM) surveys. Five of the holes have been surveyed for nearby conductors with downhole EM. The holes are currently being processed and assays will be reported when available in a future release....

IMHO, I just can't see the rises over yesterday and today as anything to do with drilling being announced (at Red Setter). We've known that was imminent for some time. This would appear to be something very different, but, anyone's guess...individual accumulation, insto(s), possibility of J/V at Red Setter, M&A with WSBN...?

Still ridiculously cheap, IMHO, even just for the company tenements alone, even before more drilling at Red Setter.

Indeed, a great deal going on in the Paterson currently and many possible permutations being played out between the likes of Newcrest Mining, Newmont Mining, Greatland Gold (Including biggest shareholder Wyloo), Rio Tinto, etc. Telfer will indeed need 'feeding' imminently, and not necessarily only from Havieron. Red Setter is located only 13 km south-west of Telfer (nearer than Havieron, which is 45 km east). IMHO Red Setter would be a possible J/V project for these, or other players in the area, or even some M&A activity involving WSBN.

Well, it could be a number of things, including the sp being ludicrously low, and someone taking a position. There's a lot of activity in the Paterson. There's a lot of M&A activity in the sector too...Those and others. Take your pick!

Another good, solid update on Havieron and the decline, and otherwise as expected after the growth related drilling activities were completed in May 2023. Several assays pending.

Great to see that the Scally drilling is complete, and assays due later, and an impressive, immediate drilling start with Rio at Paterson South.

Looking forward to the impending Havieron MRE upgrade next month!

Yup, looking forward to the latest Newcrest Exploration Report on Tuesday (late Monday UK time)!

And, as you say, "It has been a travesty that the quality of previous Havieron drill results which most mining explorers can only dream of can have had so little effect on the GGP SP over the last 18 months or so."

Whatever investors views about Gervaise Heddle, he did say, several times, that the markets just don't get it! And he was right! Shaun Day has also implied the same recently!

The SP growth catalysts, for Havieron alone, are increasingly being compressed into a very small timeframe, and, IMHO, the ACTUAL will result in a substantial move north, that'll catch a load of people out, followed by the usual moans as to why they wished they'd got in/topped up more recently!

If you snooze, you'll lose! Well, that's my personal view, and I stand by it, but, clearly, it's your investment, so take it, or leave it! Only time will tell and, as always, DYOR & GLA!

Yet another well researched piece by Taylor Dart at Seeking Alpha. In previous pieces he's been well up to speed on Havieron and it's impending benefits to Newcrest/Newmont....

".....Finally, what investors appear to be missing as part of the margin equation is that while Newcrest is a low-cost producer today, it is graduating into a larger and even lower-cost producer later this decade. This is expected to be achieved through optimization at Brucejack, the benefit of what are already industry-leading costs at Cadia, plans for Red Chris Block Cave which should have negative all-in sustaining over a 30+ year mine life, and the addition of the high-grade shared Havieron asset. And while I think the company's projections of sub $600/oz are too ambitious (excluding Brucejack), I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the Newcrest portfolio could enjoy sub $775/oz costs by FY2030, which would make this portfolio the closest we've seen to the previous Kirkland Lake Gold, which was an absolute cash cow with two ultra-low cost mines in Macassa and Fosterville from 2017 to 2020....."
