@ MH01 As with JD, I'm surprised that you think that they haven't been updating a MRE model continuously, based on results ever since the last update. Sure, it'll require 3rd party review, but, it's probably, essentially, compiled already. As I've said before, it'll be released as and when the BOD (and what a BOD!) believe it best to do so.

Well done Fred16 and all the best in your investment. It is indded another great opportunity to buy/top up, IMHO. Personally I've increased my GGP position around 30% in the past few months on anything under 7p and overbought in my normal terms as a result, but totally 100% confident in the investment as a medium/long term one.

Greatland Gold PLC (AIM:GGP, OTC:GRLGF) has noted the latest update from partner Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX:NCM) about Havieron that states the main decline or access shaft is now at 1,840 metres (m) with progress helped by improved ground conditions.

Shaun Day, Greatland’s managing director, added that it hopes to publish an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) during the final quarter of 2023...

IMHO, they probably do, to be released when it best suits the company in a highly complex and evolving M&A situation. Not when individuals, with no knowledge about what's happening in the background maybe think that it should be.

IMO, it was really no surprise that we didn't get an update. It was a good possibility if you read Shaun Day's language over the past few months. As you say, looking forward to it. Nothing has changed apart from that!

I'm hoping for an update from Shaun Day IF it's opportune at that time. This is all a rapidly changing M&A situation, and games will be played by all parties. Clearly, as always, there are people that just don't get it!

Nothing has changed! The resource is still there! Frustrating, yes, but I'll leave Shaun Day and the team to get on with what they feel is best. If you disagree, then fine, I have absolutely no issue with that, whatsoever.

I'll be quite straight here. It's difficult posting now on any of these threads with the continuous handbag fights that, pretty much always, end up ruining them! Some people really need to grow up!

As for tomorrow, sorry, but I'm going to be sitting on the fence. IMHO, it's a no more than a 50/50 chance that Newcrest will produce an updated MRE for Havieron. I base that on the general comments & 'body language' over the past few months.

If it is included, and I hope it is, then that's great. If it's not, then we can also hopefully expect our team will publish our own updated MRE very shortly. That will be third party reviewed, and, don't forget that, last time, it was within a whisker of the later Newcrest Mining update, So should be very accurate.

I'll also be completely honest here, in that, I'm slightly frustrated, that, having gone along with Newcrest Mining in the delayed Havieron MRE, we can't be more sure if it's actually going to happen tomorrow, or not!

You've been able to buy & sell shares on the ASX for years with a stocks & shares ISA. The ASX is a recognised exchange by HMRC for ISA's.

I personally trade on the ASX with the Interactive Investor (ii) platform, and it's just as easy as trading on AIM.

Pitchers Partners has released its Dealmakers: mid-market M&A in Australia 2023 update, where it found that the mining sector contributed significantly to the country’s M&A (mergers and acquisitions) value through the Newmont acquisition of Newcrest....

...However, it was good news for Australia as the country’s M&A value increased by 13 per cent compared to the first half of 2022. Australian transactions in the first half of 2023 were worth $64.8 billion, coming from 390 deals. The number of deals has decreased by 26 per cent compared to those recorded in 2022.

The value figure is said to be influenced by the $26.6 billion Newmont purchase of Newcrest, which has made up approximately 41 per cent of the total deal value in Australia during the first half of 2023.

“Energy, mining and utilities made up 78 per cent of deal value in the first half of 2023, and even without the inclusion of the Newcrest sale, the sector still made up 50 per cent of total sales,” the report said....

It appears that we're still regurgitating the same stuff from many months ago, and I can understand that, but the fact remains that, at Havieron, we're sitting on one of, if not the biggest gold/copper mother lodes for a generation, or more, in the best mining jurisdiction in the world!
