Nice to see regular research notes again!

For reference, for anyone new here, when Argonaut initiated coverage on Greatland Gold, on the 6th February, their first note stated as follows:

"We are initiating coverage on Greatland Gold (GGP) with a BUY rating and £0.17 price target. Production at Telfer exceeded expectations in GGP’s first month of ownership and we believe Telfer will deliver output beyond the current 15 month mine plan. We assume gold and copper production ~20% higher than guidance. The release of updated resources and reserves for Telfer are expected 3QFY25 and 4QFY25 and present key near-term catalysts for GGP. The world class Havieron project accounts for 56% of our valuation and the completion of a feasibility study later this year should confirm capital costs and the development timeline. We expect Havieron to cost A$1.0b to build, producing ~225kozpa of gold at an AISC of ~A$1,250/oz for ~20 years with first production in early FY28. Confirmation of capital cost and time to first production for Havieron also present material catalysts for GGP."

"GGP has released results from its maiden drilling program testing the West Dome Underground project. The drill program has returned some impressive intersections, with the average result from 16 of the 19 holes drilled 23.2m @ 2.95g/t Au and 1.07% Cu. Mineralisation is now defined over a strike of 700m and remains open both along strike and down dip. These results have lifted the priority of West Dome Underground as a potential ore source, with a second drilling program set to commence shortly. We note that our base case production forecasts for Telfer only include ore mined from the West Dome open pit and current stockpiles. The addition of an underground development at West Dome could materially lift our production forecasts for Telfer. We reiterate our BUY rating on GGP and £0.17 price target."

On 8 December 2024, the first doré gold bars under Greatland ownership were poured at Telfer.

@ Doozer77 I can't believe that you're still posting the same as you did yesterday, and before that several times, about the ASX listing. it's been made patently clear by Shaun Day that it's a CROSS listing, and after any of the references you make. There is absolutely no doubt. When people continue in this type of posting, when it's been made very clear, I tend to start thinking that the poster has an ulterior motive. I trust you don't.

The last coverage for Telfer & Havieron. I haven't had a chance to review the Telfer stats yet, especially Q4, but clearly Q3 was impacted by the suspension due to the tailings issue...

Those potential Paterson regional 'hub & spoke' operations, that thought that they may be feeding Telfer in future too, may well be getting a bit nervous with todays news.

The additional good news is that, as Shaun states, "And what's wonderful here is it's connected back into that Main Dome Underground infrastructure. So it's this short horizontal haulage back to the existing underground crusher and shaft that can take that ore to surface in a really efficient manner".

Hi Walkley. We have, scheduled, a Telfer JORC Resource report for "later this quarter" (per Shaun Day), so before the end of March, followed by the first, fully detailed update in April, covering Telfer operations and revenue for 1st January - 31st March.

Indeed Tiggrrr! I constantly get fed up with detractors, who just don't understand any investment strategy beyond their own. Investments change, constantly, in your life, and, for some, high risk can often result in very big rewards, but often not, but I just don't get their attitude. As for GBP, I totally appreciate it's high risk, but it's still part of my portfolio.

I bought a few more back this morning, but to be fair, I'm on a free ride anyway, having got in early on the day Juno was advised. Sure, it's high risk, but still worth a punt for a few more at this level, but especially hand in hand with a lot of respect for Callum Baxter, and his understanding of the area, and it's geology, for decades.
