UBS short closed out ? The 0.51% short opened in March is the exact difference in previous short value from 6.81% to 6.3%. Very odd if they have already closed it at a loss and shorted for such a small amount of time.

I think the fall back is because of the points you raise and also:

Shareprophets reckon there's a placing coming and are often right in my experience (even if it does need a share consolidation first)
the £2.2m of debt owing in June (which will no doubt be kicked down the road at a higher roi)
Shareholders had enough and wanting out, maybe also last placees
This new contract doesn't start until Q4, always room for a further delay with this crowd
No update as promised on the airport contracts

Not sure where I'd be tempted to buy again tbh, only bought in on a hunch it was due a rise with so few sellers around and I got itchy fingers, but this sp doesn't normally fall back without a reason.

Would still hassle the directors at the agm to reduce their wages and buy some shares in the absence of an aiport contract no matter what happens to the sp in the meantime, shareholders have paid for them for too long now

The least they should be doing is drastically reducing their own director wages which might have helped to offset the amount of placings needed, do they deserve to be paid the obscene numbers they are being/have been paid on results so far ? No way, and they've also shown little sign of making substantial share purchases of their own in the meantime.

Sometimes it just does Dar, not always an obvious reason, maybe mms just wanted to create a market before a rise knowing it was likely to be tipped, maybe a seller, maybe a bit of panic selling on top. In this particular instance it just gave us another topup opportunity although never nice at the time, hindsight is a wonderful thing !
