Does anyone still use Investegate to get daily rns to their e-mail ? I used to get alerts to my e-mail on chosen shares but I can't remember the last time I received even one, is anyone else having the same problem ?
Tempting to get back in after selling in the last update (fortunately profitably) at 23, DCB obviously remains a concern if the administrators ask them to complete the job, also this from the previous trading update whereby £2.5m is repayable by September, any thoughts ?
The Company has debt facilities of £5.0 million in place with HSBC UK Bank plc. This debt facility is structured as a £2.5 million term loan, repayable by September 2022, and a £2.5 million overdraft facility. The Company expects to meet financial covenants at the next test, being the year ended 31 March 2022..
Trouble is he hasn't really had to deal with any of the problems, he just passes the problem (cash) onto his shareholders every time, the shareholders have had to put up with a cash call every 6 months for the last 5 years.
I reckon if you were to ask the customer any of these supposed prospects that are imminent they would probably just reply "who ? oh yeah we made a small enquiry a few years ago but we didnt go any further, he pesters us every 6 months though hoping for an upbeat message" !!
it's possible if all the obvious 'searching' questions are posed that they might not be able to avoid the issue, unlikely though. Queries on anything that is viewed as a prospect will be seen as an opportunity to time waste the meeting and will be answered with a 'jam tomorrow' answer. The type of searching questions I'm talking about are based around current cash position, why are they so incompetent that contracts are always delayed after award, whether they have ever received full money from the boat sale. exactly how much cash has been raised in the last 5 years and where has it gone, why are Key Guarding consistently loss making since acquisition.
Personally I cba as I'm not a shareholder and awkward questions wont be aired even if asked
From the last trading statement: Standard deviation from this outfit !
" However, as cautioned in the Company's interim results statement released on 13 August 2021, the impact of, inter alia, ongoing COVID-19 related travel restrictions, a delay in ratification of the DRC contract, and ongoing general business caution across the Company's targeted jurisdictions, have delayed certain anticipated contract awards and/or associated revenue generation. Consequently, the Company now expects H2 2021 revenue to be marginally ahead of H1 2021 and H2 2021 loss before tax to be broadly similar to H1 2021."
So I'm staring incredulously at a Stockopedia forecast for 2021 of £16.7m revenue and a pbt of £1.4m, with "revenue to be marginally ahead of H1 2021 and H2 2021 loss before tax to be broadly similar to H1 2021" then revenue expectations of around £7m and lbt (loss before tax) around £1.9m. I'm just realising how far shockingly below what the market would have been expecting at a mcap of £8m.
Where did you find out there is an update on 29th April ?
I wonder if there will be a placing on the same day, they must be scraping the barrel by now as an ominous ommission of a mention of cash balance in the November trading update, and I'm forecasting a delay of the recent $1.7m contract based on their history
somehow I've managed to trade this several times profitably from mid 80's on the downtrend, I picked them back up again last Thursday in the 48's, note to self must try and hold onto these this time as these look an absolute bargain now !
