BDM up another 15% or so.
Err,
10p?
ASX
Hi,
Ask: BDM. Up 15% today.
Interesting move in burgundy share price.
No reason for the rise,
Looks very kimberlite likely to me,
He ain’t half looking hard at it.
Company making deal. Takes a lot of pressure off JC.
Unlocks huge opportunities.
Only question is which good news come first.
Could see multiples of a penny in quick time.
Think most of placing went into long term backers hands so won’t be
many shares from that on the market.
Lots of positives to push this on up but just wondering if our old friends at lucara
mulling over joining us!? I mean why not, they could just swallow us up? I don’t know anything but I am starting to wonder now they are finding some nice stones, cash rolling in why not branch out. If I was on the board I would be looking anyway.
What a time to strike.
Having said that Teeling won’t want to sell another ak6.,
He would want to mine it and
keep the profits in house.
Yes,
Good job.
Is he the biggest party though!
Confirming our thoughts.
Excellent news.
From the pictures they appear to still be drilling in the same place,
Either it’s far down or they are finding something worth drilling in?
Nice picture as they sift through the chips,
Big smiles all round.

Commencement of Drilling on South Africa Diamond Properties.
Botswana Diamonds plc (BOD.L) this morning announced drilling had started on its Thorny River and Marsfontein project areas in South Africa. The focus of drilling will be on four target areas that were highlighted from recent ground geophysics survey work results, which hold potential for the discovery of a kimberlite “blow”.
Comment and Recommendation.
The Group’s properties lie around the former Marsfontein mine which contained the most widely known kimberlite “blow” in the area. The mine operated for two years in the 1990s by De Beers and SouthernEra and achieved a staggering payback of just three days on its entire development costs, with an extremely high grade of 172 carats per hundred tonne (cpht) obtained from production.
We believe there is a high chance that a similar kimberlite “blow” could be identified on BOD’s properties, which could as Marsfontein proved, be extremely lucrative. Further details on progress of this drilling campaign and results should be known over the coming weeks.
Today’s news comes shortly after we learnt that the acquisition in Botswana of KX36 - Sekaka Diamonds had been approved by the authorities. This acquisition came with a historic SAMREC compliant Resource, an exploration database and a fit for purpose diamond processing plant, which were all acquired for a modest sum of US$0.3m cash and a 5% production royalty.
Given the above and near-term prospect of preliminary drilling results at Thorny River and Marsfontein in we estimate about four weeks' time and the market’s increasing appetite for exploration plays aligned with an economic rebound as we near the end of the pandemic, we continue to rate Botswana Diamonds as a ‘Buy’.
Pictures of the core but it’s in bags!

Just getting into it all!
