To me it seems like the company had many things lined up and they were awaiting data to be unblinded. Seeing positive results RM has given the green light on the below to go public/live, if the data was a dud none of the below would have been given the green light to go live as RM has shown nothing but professionalism and integrity so far.

Yes, Synairgen are a relatively small company but the companies they have partnered with are huge within the pharma industry and are the same companies other big pharma cos use.

The paper also states that Omicron is more resilient to the anti-viral state imposed by exogenous interferon-alpha.

Our data indicate that Omicron has gained an elevated capability to suppress IFN induction upon infection and to better withstand the antiviral state imposed by exogenously added IFN-alpha."

ND71, regulatory bodies will most likely request or require IV results for Omicron for EUA as it is currently the dominant strain in circulation and we most likely did not recruit any omicron into SPRINTER. The FDA are willing to spend big bucks on any treatment shown to be efficacious for hospitalised patients, so it is in their interest to receive IV results showing that the drug will work against Omicron. Take a look at what has happened and is happening to the mAbs which were in use in the US after Omicron landed.

Personally I believe it could run into Feb but hopefully not later.

The way I see it is if RM knew it would take a few months (Jan-Mar) to process the data he would have just stated results in Q1. The choice of wording alludes to a timeframe shorter than 3 months.

theboyg - from the RNS announcing partnership with Ashfield Engage it does state "Ashfield Engage is supporting Synairgen as it builds its commercialisation infrastructure for the needs of SNG001, initially in the US, pending completion of pivotal trials and regulatory authorisations."

Looks like DHSC will have to wait their turn.
