Thanks Matml74, interesting stuff and thanks for your insight. Did you get a chance to look at the recent pre-print titled "Omicron variant of SARS-CoV-2 exhibits an increased resilience to the antiviral type I interferon response"
"Abstract: The new variant of concern (VOC) of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Omicron (B.1.1.529), is genetically very different from other VOCs. We compared Omicron with the preceding VOC Delta (B.1.617.2) and the wildtype strain (B.1) with respect to their interactions with the antiviral type I interferon (IFN-alpha/beta) response in infected cells. Our data indicate that Omicron has gained an elevated capability to suppress IFN induction upon infection and to better withstand the antiviral state imposed by exogenously added IFN-alpha."

ND71, regulatory bodies will most likely request or require IV results for Omicron for EUA as it is currently the dominant strain in circulation and we most likely did not recruit any omicron into SPRINTER. The FDA are willing to spend big bucks on any treatment shown to be efficacious for hospitalised patients, so it is in their interest to receive IV results showing that the drug will work against Omicron. Take a look at what has happened and is happening to the mAbs which were in use in the US after Omicron landed.
Personally I believe it could run into Feb but hopefully not later.
The way I see it is if RM knew it would take a few months (Jan-Mar) to process the data he would have just stated results in Q1. The choice of wording alludes to a timeframe shorter than 3 months.
theboyg - from the RNS announcing partnership with Ashfield Engage it does state "Ashfield Engage is supporting Synairgen as it builds its commercialisation infrastructure for the needs of SNG001, initially in the US, pending completion of pivotal trials and regulatory authorisations."
Looks like DHSC will have to wait their turn.
OJ17 the below is taken from Interim Results RNS on 30th September2021 : https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/SNG/interim-results-2si4ggudjuprxts.html
"The current cash resources are sufficient to cover the above plans up to and including the read-out of the Phase III results and existing committed costs for the next twelve months to September 2022, regardless of the outcome of the currently ongoing Phase III trial."
Fruits looks correct, it appears to be a pension scheme http://www.buynjbonds.gov/treasury/doinvest/

GreggsStottie, if I'm not mistaken all the company comms from Synairgen regarding top line data has suggested "Early 2022" this does not necessarily mean it will defo be in January but I do hope it is this month fingers crossed.

Woodstock1970 should be banned from posting on here, I don't care if he is a LTH his posts are disgusting and disrespectful and do not belong here. Just the other day one of his sexually charged creepy comments led to links of sex dolls being posted on this BB by others, he also replied to a female poster on here saying:
Fri 24th @ 22:20 "I am dating Angela Merkel at the moment Faye but if things dont work out for us, I will contact you. Sorry that you were second choice."
What kind of behaviour is this, he has a long track record of this sort. Strange how many encourage it, I for one would feel very uncomfortable if Woodstock was around any of my female friends/family.

Fruitsnveg - How about those who are just hesitant due to safety concerns such as myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots etc. Should these people also be subject to refusal of treatment from the NHS? What if they have paid tax their whole life in expectation that in their time of need the NHS would care for them?
This can also apply to the anti-vaxxers, they also contribute towards the NHS through their payment of taxes so why should they be refused treatment? Just because they choose not to take the vaccine for whatever reason they should still be entitled to treatment when they have contributed their whole working life.
We live in a free democratic society, people should not be persecuted for their individual choices.
If we have a successful p3 readout will our SNG001 only be administered to those who require a form of oxygen therapy or can it be prescribed to any patient who has been admitted into hospital due to covid19 regardless of how breathless they are?
