Agree with Ian here. Why aren't they selling CODE at £3.70 with 100% profit but happy to sell at £2.40?!

Yes, the new coins are definitely a step on the right direction. Just there is a lot of roadblocks before this moves up freely, what we could do with is some factual data in terms of revenue for H1 and user numbers. I fail to see how they keep saying they continue to offer value for Shareholders when the price is 90% down from IPO levels.

Everything around the trial stinks, was deemed a success so SGSC were allowed to dump 1.1B shares. Only, the peer reviewed results show that the primary endpoint was not reached so what exactly were the parameters of our agreement with SGSC for the trial to be deemed a success?
The fact we bought into Igraine and considered that the SP did not reflect the true value and are now subsequently 44% down on that investment shows it didn't show the true value, it was lower.
Yes, our MCap is lower than the total of our investments and Cash even with the SGSC investment written off just goes to show where sentiment is with this company and more so the BoD. Imagine employing a PR & IR company which does neither!

Either way it begs the question of what exactly the strategy is here. Why were they happy to dispose of shares in KNB at 24p buy not at 40p+, why are they happy to dispose at £2.40 in CODE but not at £3.20? Why are they happy to watch the MODE investment go from 80p down to 3p and not derisk as the share price fell.
I am well aware the same could be said on why any of us are still invested here but as we have discussed many times before, we were told the trial was successful and the commercialisation would happen almost immediately, now nearly a year on the trial was not successful as it didn't meet its primary goal and no sign of a commercialisation deal... The least the BoD could do is explain some of the above, but they have employed a pr and ir company who just tweet the odd but if news. It's a joke all round really.

How did you work out it was on the way down? according the RNS dated 19th Feb VELA mentioned they had done the part disposal on 17th Feb. The closing price on that date was circa 40p so must have been on the way up. secondly i didn't say they should have sold at 50p as that would imply they should time the market perfectly (which i'm sure you will tell us that's exactly what you did) I said 40p+...

No one is making money here for a long time, lets face it. CODE is literally towing the line here, the one bright spark amongst a sea of lifeless investments. I just don't get the investment strategy with the BoD. We disposed of some shares in KNB at 24p but that rose to circa 50p, I don't have a problem with selling for a profit but what I don't get is, if they sold at 24p there why not sell the lot at 40p+? We sold a chunk of CODE at £2.40 and £2.45, CODE is currently £3.20, why not sell another chunk at a healthy profit? We have been in profit in MODE believe it or not, that got up to 80p, why not sell a bit then. I know its hard to judge but our MODE investment is now worth a little over £20k - We put in 316k to that investment!

Joe you need to stop listening to everything you hear on BBs and twitter. There was never confirmation of a meeting with SGSC, which, even if there was, what would VELA actually be able to say? There are several parties involved in the trial so we will hear when everyone else does.

Not sure you can have a go at someone for reading MODE website? Talk about fact checking, maybe you should ask MODE to do that rather than people on here?!

PatG do you still think they will triple the revenue from last year?

Where is all the rampers saying the revenue will triple this year and the FCA licence alone is worth more than the Mcap? I seem to remember Sharebel being particularly bullish on on this. What's changed in their eyes?

A lot of conflicting posts on here. Some say (PatG & Sharebel) that the revenue in 2022 will be triple that of 2021 and others saying the revenue for 2022 will be lower than 2021. Personally I think if they were on course to triple last years revenue we would have heard something by way of a H1 update showing they are on course for this.

Looks like anyone who bought on the news last week is now selling at a loss. It's been mentioned but there was no real new info in there apart from the fact it isn't dead in the water yet. The market is going to need details of any deal or exit from Vela before this gets properly going. As i said last week, if we can get our money back on the trial VELA should bite their hand off. Although that would leave over £2.5m for the BoD to play with which would undoubtedly mean a few pay rises for them....

Unfortunately this seems to be the norm on AIM lately. PIs sell if they haven't made 100% profit in a day.

Having now been peer reviewed is a step in the right direction.

BigDave also to add to that there was this line in the report which was a little concerning - ''Phase 2 trials of this size carry the risk of false positive results and confirmation of these results in a larger clinical trial is now required''.
Personally I think if we can get our money back (£2.35m) we sell. £2.35m represents well over 50% of our MCap currently.....
I will caveat this with the fact i have no experience whatsoever in the pharma industry so would hope VELA have someone with a decent grasp of knowledge in this sector to advise on what to do.
