Yeah I agree, needs something else. They have released 3 RNSs regarding the new tokens and I completely get that to try get the SP moving but unfortunately it hasn't had the required effect. It either needs to come up with a new revenue stream or get a trading update out with significantly increased revenue.

I agree Jimmy, that investment is particularly concerning. Great if it comes off but the evidence is very convincing so far to say that this is not happening. From the outside looking in it would appear the BoD have thrown £430k at a dead duck.

The thing is the admin expenses for H1 were circa £600k a month so to get through to July around £2.5-£3m would need to be raised. Considering they went down the CLN route for £2m this year would lead me to think they were struggling to get any placing through. I do agree if they can get some good news that may instil some confidence but needs to be soon.

You say around July 2023 for a fund raise, what makes you think they have enough money to last until then? A back of a fag packet calculation would suggest they have enough money to get through to the end of the year max, unless they convert some more CLNs but as you have said the majority of these won't be converted due to the concert party. So with the SP at 0.0325 (time of writing) what price would need to be offered for a fund raise?! You are right, this needs news and good news at that to get this moving in readiness for a fundraise.

Joe, no one said soon. Hereshopin just said the next time they place they may try and hide the shares in there. VELA have circa £600k in the bank which is more than enough to keep them going for a good while, unless they want to make other investments then they may need more funds. But judging on their investment record then the funds are much safer in the bank!

Yeah, i found my mistake. I had the £100k investment in Weshop as a non current investment. Will be interesting to see the cash position to now.
You would like to think they may offer some update on the Laiker shares but that won't happen. I just can't see how the BoD think its okay for that to happen and not offer any explanation!

Just had a look at my Spreadsheet for the quarter and I'm showing £6,017,969 so obviously one of us (probably me!) has £100k added or missing somewhere!

Even without the CLNs the outlook is bleak here. The revenue is terrible and the cash burn is even worse. There will be a fundraise here which will further dilute the SP for shareholders. Until they can start actually generating decent money this will be a terrible share to be a long term investor in. There will be pump and dumps for day traders of course.

Morning Dave, not in sight of my spreadsheet today I'm afraid so will let you know Monday. But I do agree the price currently without SGSC is about fair value. You would like to think all our investments are at the bottom and can only go one way from here (some can't actually go too much lower!!)

A placing is very unlikely as they should have around 600k in the bank which is enough to keep them going for a good while. Unless they make more bad investments!
I would like them to do no more investing as they are clearly terrible. Even I could choose 1 decent investment out of 13!
We just need to hold tight and hope the investments start coming good.

To be fair the quarterly update would entail looking at the closing SP of our live investments on the 30th September then adding our non current investments along with looking at the bank balance.
I have done my own one which obviously won't be accurate as I don't know the cash balance but CODE will paper over the cracks in our investments as that was up fairly significantly from the previous quarter. Will be interesting to see how they flower up the update.
Maybe they will tell us that they have met with some more of the companies they have invested in and leave it at that! Jokers.

Interesting! Surely the holdings VELA holds in a company should be public knowledge?! There's a few grands worth wiped off with the new share figures?! The cloak and dagger of VELA strikes again!

I'm not sure if this is a joke or not?!

The way is see it, there are 2 ways out of this:

1. SGSC gets commercialisation of the drug and we get a healthy return on our £2.35m investment = SP goes up
2. New BoD who bring clarity and communication and better investment strategy and most importantly bring sentiment back = SP goes up
