Happy New Year All.

New Year same rubbish SP here unfortunately. I have just run some figures as we are currently valued at circa £3m. Our live investments alone are worth £3.3m which is higher than our Mcap. We have around £600k in cash and another £350k invested in Aeristech which is still awaiting IPO (If it ever does!).
The most depressing investment in obviously MODE which, out of the original £316k invested is now worth just £11k!
On the upside CODE and ENSI have been very good investments and have yielded profit in part disposals already.
Lets hope 2023 has more to offer than 2022 for VELA, it surely cant be worse!

If you don't mind taking the loss its a 100% sell here. All that is left is those of us not wanting to crystalise such a large loss. There is nothing coming form the company, nothing coming from the SHSC deal and the BoD are sat on their hands waiting for the market to change. Nothing to see here for a long time

I have absolutely no problem with them taking profit, given their abysmal record of investments!

Not sure whats happened to Sharebel and Profitjock?? I'm sure they were saying this was a Strong buy at 0.025+, weird they have gone quiet when we are 20% lower since their ramping. They are typical of the people who ruin these sorts of BBs, mindless ramping (or deramping) is infuriating when they can't back it up with anything. The negativity here is purely around their funding and revenue, until there is clarification on where they will get the funds from past April, or show really strong revenue in H2 2022 the SP will sit in the 0.02s - 0.01s while the CLN holders convert and sell their shares.

At least the mystery of the missing £100k has now been explained.

Sold 25k shares last quarter which were purchased at £1.80 a share to now buy 33k shares at £3 a share!!!
So they are confident the price will rise from here so I would suggest they just kept the shares at £1.80?!?

Joe you are a walking contradiction! You say no one looks at the positives then you post a message about a placing!

Joe if you won't take any advice from the BB (rightly so) why would you ask these questions on the BB???

Exactly. VELA has added circa £250k to its portfolio value, thanks to ENSI yet the SP has gone down. A competent BoD would never have overseen something like this. This is the epitome of low sentiment

They sold 60k shares in ENSI. If we say the price they sold at was 48p that would have made them £28k after fees etc. Not sure what the thinking behind that was, not exactly going to boost the bank balance too much?!

Expect that message to be deleted JL. Mindless ramping only here (Bid is Stacked, Attack on the 3s etc). The CLN funds will only last until April so they will have to either start making money (hand over fist!) to cover the costs or get some funding somehow. The last option is a buyout which looks to be the best option currently, but is there a buyer?!

Tells you all you need to know doesn't it. Sentiment is zero, no one knows if the BoD have sold more of ENSI or any other investments for that matter, we have a missing £100k from the balance sheet, we have a £2.35m investment that no one really knows what the status is.

They probably should. Shame we do not know what they sold the 60,000 shares for in the last quarter.

I forgot to say I got an explanation for not notifying us for the shares sold - 'The share sales were de-minimus and not required to be reported'
