RE: Trading Halt on ASX19 Feb 2026 08:44
From the RNS:
The halt was requested by the Company pending its response to an ASX share price query, and to address speculation in relation to the potential ratification of the Company's Ewoyaa Mining Lease (note that the Company is not aware of any developments since the announcement of 22 December 2025) and discussions regarding a potential corporate transaction. The Company anticipates that the ASX trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of the release of the announcement, or the opening of trading on the ASX on Monday, 23 February 2026. Trading in the Company's ordinary securities will continue as normal on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange, during this period.
The important part is that the company is not aware of any change in ratification news but there is a "corporate transaction" taking place. Without the corporate transaction part, ALL could have responded to the price query saying they aren't aware of any new specific information that would cause the price rise and ASX would continue trading, so obviously something regarding the corporate transaction is leaking.
"The Company anticipates that the ASX trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of the release of the announcement". So there is an announcement coming, probably tomorrow or monday.
