I reported that they had got their 1 billion miles on 8th December when the official Kms driven on the SEE website, passed 1,608 Million kilometers

Now SEE reports 1,842,851,349 km travelled

(apologies I checked google and they can't claim 1 billion nautical miles until they reach 1,852 )

I thought that we passed that milestone last year - then again, better wait until we have also got it for nautical miles as well as the shorter miles that cars actually use!

I think it is more about the car companies. They like a mixed ecosystem of suppliers to keep competition up and prices down. They don't want to be beholden to 1 monopoly supplier.

Think about how PC companies accidentally built Microsoft. MS is still here, most of the PC companies of the 90s have gone

Just watched the interview with GM about Supercruise. At the start of 2018 the take up rate of SC was 18% but by the end of the year it was 34%

So 1/3 of CT6 sales of CT6 now have SEE!

That is a great example of how our human factors team have built a safety system. That doesnt drive the driver mad! Word of mouth and good publicity is driving take up.

Just watched Ken's Proactive interview. He says that fleet is about 12k. Maybe he isn't following us or the interface. Or the interface may include bdms plus test vehicles and staff cars?

At least the km figure has jumped back up again.

So this phase 1 is more of an extended feasibility trial, after the initial trial which probably only had a handful of buses.

An in-cab driver protection device is now fitted to every tram, meaning that any sign of driver distraction or fatigue results in the driver being alerted immediately. This is the first time such a device has been used in the rail industry in the UK and has been commended by the ORR. This system has been shared and demonstrated to the UK Tram industry for possible implementation on other tram networks.

I don't think we need to provide the chip. Just the software that is used to program the chip. A tier 1 would package the Xylinx board/chip to do FOVIO and other ADAS tasks and possibly the speedo, infotainment and screen controllers etc

Hi Baxter, it may depend on the device or software that you are using. On a PC with chrome or IE, it opens OK. On my android phone it was sending me to the website but today it is ok. The "json" format of the file is for computers, but is readable:

Based on my unscientific sample of 2.75 hours, The average daily rate is 334 km/day which seems realistic.

1.76 Billion Km in total is the right figure, it is growing that fast!
