You are right. The capacitor shortage delayed the delivery of Guardian units at a key time. We are only small fish so couldn't secure supplies or bully suppliers, so we had to wait and pay more. With no hardware the install pipeline dried up and deals no doubt got delayed. It is easy to blame Ken and Co, but I doubt the manufacturer was advertising the problems out delays until it got too late.

It is like shutting down Tescos because there are no 1p coins for the change. But with electronics you can't just round up, you need to redesign

I remember a car chat show with a designer. Who said it wasn't in the XT6 but would probably come later. Of course probably just marketing so they can get more announcements.

I had posted the Veoneer Japan jobs before - it looks like they first were advertised on 21st Jan - not easy roles to fill ! They correspond to matching jobs in Veoneer in the US

Interesting that they would like someone with experience of working outside of Japan - is that because the suppliers are not Japanese?

If you have a look at the Automotive page on SEYE's site https://smarteye.se/automotive-solutions/ there is an fancy video for an autonomous car with lots of comfort interior camera features. From the date on the video, it has been up there only since January 2019. Now 4 years means this is an antique rendering and it clearly doesn't relate to a real upcoming model. But Why would Merc allow its use. SEYE must be in an upcoming Merc but only for comfort features - GLA 2020?

Also on the site as YY pointed out is their new "research" camera to go with their "research" software. Not for install in production vehicles. If you hunt around LinkedIn, you will find plenty of Volvo engineers who are linked to SEYE, after all they may use their kit every day in testing - but are they going to use it in production?

They do have 60 and 120 Hz cameras available in the research space today - remember, what we see or don't see (Audi A8) launching now was cutting edge 3 or more years ago - technology gaps can be fixed by Moore's law and time.

Now I am not a SEYE fan boy or a deramper, just a part time dreamer doing some research to keep me grounded.

Both companies have a strong future, as long as they get the business and stay solvent until the cash flows.

We need to remember that Colin et al's word is not gospel and he may only post what is convenient to him after all he does hold stock.

PS I am not happy with the recent share price, but at least I managed to increase the my shares as I moved the last two batches of shares into my ISA.
