Tor Lundberg, reclaimed his family’s former Sami name, Tuorda a few years ago to align himself with the Sami cause.
Actually it's now Tor Lundberg Tuorda, so he couldn't quite complete the change entirely.
A long time opponent of BEM and well known for his many misrepresenting statements presented as fact, probably repeated on last night's documentary.
It's all good publicity for him to promote his photography and literary interest's.

I had an alert set (not a limit order) when BEM reached +14p to sell the next batch, obviously not required. Now have to think about the re-entry price.
Decision's decisions, beginning to feel like the Swedish government, however unlike the previous incumbents I have a plan. We all know what happened to the best laid plans!

Thanks for updating the BB on the actual dates and more importantly the reasoning behind the dates. I think everyone on here was confused about these extensions. Infact I wondered why the Sami were given all this time when BEM had only written a statement/letter to Thor.

That's true but it shouldn't worry any contributors on these BB's.
Reducing VAT being a no brainer, what are you advocating? Scraping the 20% for business as well as the 5% consumers rate?
That 5% would save an average domestic user around £60 pa.
Probably another £30 after the price cap is raised.
I don't understand the outcry from all the 'caring' well off do gooders, the so-called welfare state was meant as a temporary support for those experiencing hardship, it's purpose was not meant to be, what it has become, a way of life for many. Saying that I believe there will be some sort of means tested energy relief.
We all know the government can't control basic energy prices, so as you say, "OPEC not really willing to pump much more and why should they" so why should the government alleviate this? Don't forget the UK is sitting on vast reserves, perhaps you should blame the anti fracking brigade.

2021 has been a very good year for me, investment wise, that is.
I must add, it was not for any superior insight on my part, mainly the fact that I was holding cash, and with some UKX/MCX companies dropping so low that it was a no brainer to invest.
Also a return for me into the murky waters of AIM which so far has proved to be beneficial, unlike the last time.
I've made some mistakes, actually many mistakes so I could have done a lot better.

I'm more of a Jim Slater type of investor, (remember him) in that I have a changeable core holding that I watch constantly and try to 'sub' trade the movements, each to their own eh.

Oaktree, there's a few more hoops to jump through before BEM can actually take control if a concession is granted.
This is my understanding of the next stages, if anyone disagrees, feel free to correct me.
We need access to the land which is granted by the Chief Mine Inspector. We also need an operating permit which is granted under the environmental code, this is granted by the environmental court who set the conditions for the mining operations. How long that takes is anybody's guess, especially with the appeals from the Sami (and Greta lol) ongoing about the decision.

Whether the concession is granted or not, who in their right mind would continue to hold these shares after a yes decision if it ever comes?
Take the money and run, that's if you can unload the shares at the price you expect. Forget plans of "mining, JV or sales" just take any profit you can, when you can, before the inevitable dilution comes through another cash call. Remember it's not just you who are trying to make money from this investment Beowulf plc will take advantage as well.
If you can manage to unload your holding, don't look back and never invest in anything Swedish again, they are a joke, as the last 8 years have proved. TBF when I first got involved here they were a "Nordic" exploration company and mainly UK owned, little did we all know!
And to think my wife wanted an XC40, I know it's Chinese owned but I despair.

Some people get too attached to a share and can't let it go. Remember it's only ever about the money, that's why you are here, PI's are just the pawn's.

Some were indicating last summer their intention to exit the market as risk reward was faltering. Those who did just that, have missed out on some decent returns. That's not to say they will have missed out full stop. If there were a severe downturn soon then most will look back and think they made a wise decision.
From my point of view, I'm beginning to hold more cash of late, but overall I'm content with my holdings to-date apart from some travel stocks struggling.

Here's one person's view for next year -
"GDP growth will normalize somewhat next year, but will remain above trend. Scope forecasts growth of 3.5% in the United States and 4.4% in the Eurozone, 3.6% in Japan and 4.6% in the United Kingdom. China will experience growth closer to its long-term trend of 5%,"
All very positive and as good as anyone's I guess. This time around perhaps there could be a somewhat orderly decline in the markets,
probably unlikely though.

For now like most others I'll continue to be involved and like most others continue to be optimistic and "hope" for the best.
After all, wasn't that the only thing left in Pandora's box?
