I'd just like to say that several times, infact multiple times I've been alerted to investment opportunities on these BB's. Not only alerted but acted on and proven to be quite lucrative.
Of course you have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Good point about the Bounce back loans Theosus, I expect on further investigation the government/civil servants would be absolved on the grounds that it was the likes of Lloyds Bank 'wot done it your honour.'
We told them to act responsibly when distributing these monies that were so generously donated. Of course, no mention that it was our money, so we would recommend financial penalties to the distributing banks.

With RPI at 7.1% and the coupon paid on gilts linked to this figure. I'm sure they will have more than a fleeting glance at the government's repayment figures in their deliberations, but of course it won't be mentioned.
At the start of all this there were plenty of economists warning of inflation dangers as a result of so-called 'money printing.'
All that aside, a rise to 0.25% ain't gonna do it. In fact most of today's inflationary causes are beyond any C Banks remedies.

Since we're on the subject of covid, just a different observation.
It's quite laughable watching the F1 commentators giving their expertise about fine technical details to gain 0.1 of a second but all of them don't know how to wear a face mask.
They may have mastered it now but it's surprising how all these experts don't seem to understand that the metal insert is there to bend around your nose to prevent it continuously slipping down. Politicians are the worst.
