The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I could not have timed my sell here any worse, took a slight hit and sold at 1.25 last week. Stupid really, should have waited for the update, well done to any holders though
damn markets closing, im re-entering fort tomorrow, this drop is far too excessive
as much as I would love to agree with you MysteryGuy, so far the last two RNS showing contract winnings have resulted in the share price dropping lol
struggling to understand why there is a negative impact on the back of that RNS, only negative was that revenue recognition to be deferred into next financial year but its not lost revenue at all, still money coming in
I like reading these points before bed, thanks misterh
the reverse very clearly can happen and has happened, SP was artificially inflated up to 80+ for no reason and how the chickens have come home to roost
excellent RNS, the mentioned partners are all reputable companies too which is an improvement on the current krunch contract partners
Agreed Darren, although I don't think the DBX is super ugly I simply do not understand the concept of these SUV's. Personally would purchase a 'real 4x4' and a sports/super car but all subjective as you said. AM are just far too late to the party
haha that makes me chuckle, I only saw an advert for the new Kuga this week and instantly thought it looked the same. Great news for Ford, not sure I can say the same for AM
anyone else think the DBX looks like the new Kuga?
RIP mr nation, that falling knife must have caused some damage
I have a great idea, even though I know it's a crippled company it still makes fast cars so I am going to buy shares in it, clearly SP will rocket to 1000p by the end of year won't it guys?? Clowns have come to town
Nah if mpl have paid their contractors in advance then it is an asset
am I missing something, why on earth would it have gone up by 350% off the back of that RNS? Did not think there was anything THAT significant
Think this was somewhat predictable
any idea whats caused this sudden increase? brings me back to breakeven
Crikey, discussing male hens, I must have ruffled some feathers this evening! Apologies, I just think there should be more realistic debates/opinions on LSE for new investors to view a balanced approach. Not some lemons calling "£10 by end of year, IMO DYOR" every other day and anyone opposing that suggestion being shot
Roxbury, thank you for sharing your opinion and justification. That is interesting, the opinion on it being oversold is entirely judgemental of course but I think it is a reasonable thought to have. I struggle to see that reflecting a significant proportion of the movement though? I suppose it depends how oversold one would think it was! Regarding the DBX, yes I am aware it has proved to be relatively popular on initial demand, I am sceptical over the longer term demand of this car.
Haha I love this Nation, so your justification of why you hold AML is because other people in different countries are buying it.
CC, again you are just saying to look back at previous posts, which I understand as I expect you have debated this topic extensively. However, I refuse to believe a 100% SP increase based on the news released so far is justified and if you genuinely believe it is then GL but I fear this may not result too well. Only time will tell I suppose, good luck in the meantime.
thank you for the generous rating, I should sleep like a log tonight!! However, you have clearly failed to answer my question and therefore attempted to mock my perfectly reasonable post instead. I fear that you may be the prime example of a clueless ramper that can be found littered across several LSE boards. Come on, justify a 100% SP in your beloved AML!! Any share that you are passionate about and truly believe will continue to increase you should easily be able to justify the movement. I am all for people ramping if it is based on factual content and it is realistic, this clearly does not apply to you though.
I am not a deramper at all, I have no intention on picking up shares in AML, I have flipped my shares already for a healthy profit. As correctly identified by Roxbury, the share price rise off the back of a new CEO appointment and potentially entering F1 (which is no guaranteed success by any means) is not worthy of a 100% share price increase imo. Perhaps there are many aston martin car fans here that buy shares because they like AM cars, regardless of the business performance or financial position of the company. There is certainly potential in AML but it needs to be proven, currently there are a few too many wishful thinkers. Feel free to explain how the 100% SP increase is justified CC, I would genuinely be interested to hear.
