Agadem, The overall success rate was about 80% wasn�t it, meaning a failure rate of 1 in 5. The area we are drilling is on trend with wells drilled having a 93% success rate, so a failure rate of roughly 1 in 14! Buffy

As I mentioned elsewhere, it was interesting to hear that they expect to reduce the evaluation time of subsequent Niger wells from the 9 days they took. It�s looks pretty certain we�ll take up the option of keeping the rig for up to six more wells. Buffy

In December SGC wrote this in their questions and answers session: �The interval tested to date would not be able to be accessed in this well if we decided to add perforations to the second interval tested or alternatively decided to test shallower intervals of gas shows and potential sandstone reservoirs. In our view the potential of the lower zones was too great to walk away from.� Hmmm. In the greater scheme of things it�s not anything to get too animated about, and I can�t imagine they were wilfully misleading, so it suggests that they won�t be revisiting this zone again. Buffy

Aside from the comments in the Interims, the last we had news on China was on 7th Sept, where we had the preliminary mapping of the 3D seismic, and we were told about the addition of Pearl as a third significant target. The last news about Duyung was a couple of months before that. Five months is a long time with no news on either. Buffy

Apache, James Parsons chooses his people carefully. They have to be able to hype the prospects loudly with big tcf numbers, then surprise the market as quietly as possible when forced to quote the potential size of the wells that they will eventually be drilling. It�s really no surprise at all that as people slowly realise there will be a sell off. Of course at some stage the SP won�t be wildly ahead of itself. That�s when the smarter investors get in. Seriously, why was there a triple company event? The companies are different entities, not the JP group; although clearly they behave that way in some respects. Very very clever marketing to / indoctrination of the masses. Buffy

This is driving me crazy. All I can see is the January Seven Energy Acquisition Video on the Investors Page. I've looked everywhere and can't find one dated 9th Feb. Could we have the actual link that takes us to the page rather than just the SAVP home page please. It must be there as two of you say you've seen it. Intriguing. So you saw a video where the drilling in Niger was discussed? Was it Andrew Knott speaking, and who was he discussing it with? I assumed it would either be a Malcy video or a Proactive interview. Buffy
