Hi Danawinner,
Sounds like you were in Dana before the now legendary Emptyend post when they were aro7nd 16p, that alerted so many to the developing story. It made millionaires of some of those. I did well out of that and of course Soco.
Will we see that sort of return here? It’s potentially a biggie, but I would caution you not to extrapolate too far based on existing results, as some have.
Regardless, I hope your restless nights are not misplaced. I’ve had those pleasant sleepless nights, but I’m not sure I would ever get that excited again.
Buffy
If only Coho, Cascadura and Chinook were all in communication with each other. That’s the sort of three headed monster I would love to see.
Then a single headed monster called King Royston, huge in itself, could come along.
Buffy
P.S. Try chiselling mm in stone!
Buffy
Strictly speaking Simon, that should be MM rather than mm, for Roman numerals..
Buffy
Knott already knows there won’t be a face to face AGM. The best anyone pcan hope for is a live video conference.
What an absolutely disgraceful way to behave towards the non institutional shareholders.
Buffy
“How that guy messes his question up so bad and then got so much info from PB in response is beyond me. TV gold that.”
The guy was coughing badly before the talk and looked ill. I’ve seen him before and he’s usually quite erudite. I hope, and I’m not joking, that he wasn’t having a stroke. He looked confused.
Anyway, as you say PB did respond in some length, so maybe he’s got a new technique for extracting info!
Buffy
‘Whatsapp do I know?’
Clearly not a lot!
The talk was at 10:30 this morning and Paul gave the talk.
It doesn’t take Einstein to work out he’s here in the City to discuss finance.
Buffy
CPRs have no affect on the SP. What will have, is operational news.
Buffy
Wouldn’t it be nice if the monster prospect Royston, named after Paul’s dad, who I believe died in 2013, came in big time.
I’d certainly raise a glass to him if it did.
Buffy
Hi Zengas,
Am I reading you right? Are you effectively saying ‘Hold your nose and stay invested’? Implying that the assets are good enough to subjugate your feelings about the effectiveness of the CEO, which normally would see you eject it from your portfolio?
Also, what’s your view on the fact larger companies weren’t welcomed to bid for CNPC relinquishment?
Buffy
Or even the TSX In Canada!!
Buffy
We almost certainly wouldn’t hear anything if we were sidetracking.
I noted the price dropped a penny or so recently and did wonder.
Buffy
I’m going to sell my granny to buy some more.
I hope the price stays low this week, as it might be a little while before I can top up, but by hook or by crook I’ll find out where she’s buried.
Buffy
I’d say that finding strongly flowing gas 13km south of the first well, with the gas-water contact at the same level, demonstrating one large single ‘tank’ , wasn’t too soul destroying.
Buffy
Well spotted Diversified.
If you live up to your name, you are a lot more prudent than me!
I now have something like 58% of my portfolio in SAVP.
The slight problem with such a long period of SP underperformance, is that some people apparently get excited at the thought of an SP of 43p. I understand of course, if you bought in the last year or so, but if you bought in around 30p before the second suspension, you’d be expecting at least in excess of a pound, and probably double that given the Niger success and Seven deal. This realigning of expectations will create a drag for a while as latecomers exit, to be replaced by medium or long term holders (depending on your definition).
Personally, I will be highly disappointed if we are not above £3 in the next 36 months.
Buffy
Come on Parsons, surely you can come up with one final event.
Shards of Glass?
Titanic Cruise on the Thames?
No?
How about Bending Over in Shaftesbury Avenue?
The questions yesterday about whether staffing would be reduced have now been answered. We are paying another salary for a big hitter and still keeping on a bloke who has no function worth mentioning.
So that’s why there was no lunch at the AGM for the long suffering shareholders.
Buffy
PIs often moan about not being invited to take part in a placing, but often could buy in the market cheaper, but don’t. Go figure..
Parsons did his usual sell shares at more than twice the current SP and take options for more at the reduced price.
He was lucky to get Tendrara, but he's played the game well; for himself at least. He has actually produced very little. He repeatedly made comments that deceived; and that's a fact because he was asked directly how much 1TCF was worth to Sound. First it was £1 per TCF, and then £1.50. The recovery factor is irrelevant as the figure relates to every TCF produced, not in the ground. As I've said elsewhere I came back in for the three drills, and that's what I'll do, but I knew the geology was difficult from PCI's experience in Algeria.
Let's hope we get a strike from one of the remaining two bites of the cherry. The geology is favourable apparently, just like Badile.
Andrew has said privately recently, and I believe, publicly, that once the drilling has started it would continue with back to back wells. This was after the second drill, and was clearly not not just referring to the third drill.
He wouldn’t have gone this far down the road without knowing he had government support for the 7E deal, and all parties will see the best way forward is to complete the deal. There may be a little bit of last minute of stamping of feet, but the deal will complete once a few of the well known stationary item has been stuffed sufficiently, and distributed accordingly.
Buffy
wh0sthedaddy, thats the most down to earth, rational, post on any I3 board Ive seen for some time. I think NC and GH have done a bit too much talking. Lets see some concrete evidence. I have a good sized holding here as the balance of probabilities is that this will be a big success; but until even part funding is actually confirmed in detail, nothing has been proven. Buffy
