Can’t see them saying anything prior to the results.
You also won’t see any director buys as there is a closed period from 30 June to result announcements where employees / directors can’t buy shares. Still think all the buys right before the deadline was a strong message. Unfortunately nearly all the trades at AT and they will continue to trade on the share price trend and drive it down until results come out. Keep counting the days and trying not to get too depressed.

Have faith. My wish list for 30th:
- confirmation all FCA issues resolved;
- clear capital buffer;
- interim dividend in 10-12p range;
- some nice chat around the new product trials;
- 50-60p EPS target for FY2019 maintained.

If all those are checked then surely, surely, surely has to be trading £6+.

But will not be surprised to see it loss 4p a day until then.

Wouldn't surprise me if it got close to that before interims on 30th.

I did top up more today at 388p as I do think at some point (any) news will come from the company and it could see an immediate and significant climb before people have chance to buy in. However, if I had to bet, I can't see this happening before the 30 July. Might see a steady 10% or so climb in the two or three days prior to the interim announcement with people buying in who have waited as long as they can and are getting in ahead of the interims. This might also include an LTH as you mention. Let's wait and see.

Even factoring Woodford into the equation this price has gone utterly bananas. Never in my wildest dreams did I see this below £4, particularly now FCA issues are resolved, biz has returned to profit and is paying dividends again. Fking nuts.

He's disposed of a third of his holding so far. Down from nr 25% to 16.8%. As you say, its good news, but share price is still reflecting people thinking he has more to sell.
The share price is bargain basement now but I would imagine some big institutions are keen to buy in at this price but aren't rushing in case it drops even lower.
The valuation on this is criminal now but it can surely only continue for at most 15 more trading days. The interim announcement have to be the all time low on this, if its not already hit that at £3.94 today.
My main regret is averaging in at mid-£4s but we can't all buy at the absolute dip I suppose.

Whilst motley fool can at times be fickle, the 7% yield is accurate. PFG are expected to deliver 50-60p EPS this current year. They look to pay half the EPS out as dividend, split roughly 40:60 interim:final. Therefore we are expecting 25-30p of dividends this year (prob split 10p:15p). 25-30p on a current 400p share price is 7%. They are correct.

Also on the 8x PE. EPS expected at 50-60p = 7 to 8x multiple. This stock on a bad day should be trading at 11x (14x with some bettwr sentiment) so should really be at 550p now minimum. Hence the Peel Hunt reinteration of 550p today.

The interims should clear everything up and completely dispel to capital ratio myth Canaccord created. If they were short on cash they'd have to have told the market already. Personally expecting a big jump in price come interim announcement this month.

I noted that earlier, great news. Although I think they did flag this had been agreed in the Q1 trading update.
I see it comes from a 'leaked' memo which was sent to staff in June, but was somehow 'leaked' today. If I had to guess I'd say it was a deliberate 'leak' of positive news by the company, as usually leaked memos are negative. If it was deliberate, then hats off to them - maybe they really are learning and moving in the right direction.

Sounds cryptic. Surely they can't be disclosing important info to specific shareholders and not to the market. Besides the Woodford issue there is nothing the company have issued to tha market which would imply a share price fall. Directors buys are the only other thing that's happened and that would typically cause price to rise?

Out of interest what was their response?

In normal circumstances the BOD would have expected that four Director buys in a couple of weeks would start correcting a price dip but the Woodford sell effect overrides the norm.

In terms of disclosed info available there is still minimal short interest in the stock and that hasn't changed since the lapse of offer/ Woodford suspension. 2.78% is shorted on shorttracker. Still much more buying than selling too.

Earlier post about the price suiting the Directors is a fair one. I'm still going on the basis they have a positive update up their sleeve next month, hence the continued buys. I'd personally like to see a trading update / guidance update next week, following the H2 close but ahead of the interims to stop the decline and maybe add some juice in the run up to the interims.

Looks like Woodford shifted another 200k shares half an hour ago. Happy for him to keep reducing his stake as the less he holds the better the future for pfg....even if it means depressing the price unfairly in the short term.

We've seen pfg go up 25% in a day on several occasions on the back of good news in the past year so I have no reason to think that as the Woodford issues become old news and a positive interim update is released then the jump from £4 to £6 can happen within a few days of trading IMO. Let's wait and see. GLA.

Have to think the Board will issue some sort of positive and deliberate statement prior to the interims to stop this fall. They can't just be sitting idly by watching it lose 2-3% per day every day. Particularly when other indicators are positive (overall broker consensus, Director buys, Q1 update, divi paid)

Another £50k Director buy on Friday.....share price down again this morning. It's almost funny now.
Every 10p it drops I'm buying more to average down. On any form of valuation model this is outrageously underpriced now. All because the bookies are trying to drip out Woodford shares each day.

But even then the divi is only 10p, share price has lost 12x that in last week.

It's currently trading at a PE of only 7x 2019 forecast. It should be closer to double that. Also on current price presents a divi yield of 8-10%. The price has to correct itself soon.

My guess is the near 1m shares, £3.5m uncrossing sell at the end of trading includes another sell from Woodford.

It may be MMS have buried the price to build up a huge surplus of buys over the past week so they can get out another big tranche of Woodford shares.

Really?! I'm sitting on a portfolio loss but my pride of place are the shares I got 20 mins ago at 418.20 which was the 52 week lowest buy....(I thought)
