I was kicking myself for not doing that at 410p yesterday as without any news the rise was so uncharacteristic. I've been in this for too long now to start trying to average down by trading the volatility. It's turned me into a masocist so I'd rather lose every penny and see it go to £nil than sell at any stage before this get >£15 or the P/E >16. Whichever happens first.

Below 373p now, Bet you this closes in the 350s.

377 now. Can see this falling 20% today to sub-350.

I mean serious. In 30 mins it’s already down at 393p. Up 32p yday. Already down 19p this morning. Piece of S.....

Timberrrrr.... down she goes again. Best for your own personal we’ll being not to read too much into this stock. Up 8% yday, lost half that gain in first 20 mins of trading today. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end below where we opened yday at 380p. Market continually sees this as a POS. Up 8% on no news on a flat market day usually worries me as if no news comes out by the following morning to support it then it gets shorted and plummets again.

Once again Woodford gets slammed in an article today, and the 2 examples they use of his poor performing stocks.....PFG & Keir. Quelle suprise.

As I say, until Woodford is out this will continue to suffer from the Woodford contagion effect. If he was no longer holding I think we'd be >£6 imho.

Jandialbi - that's an old figure.

If you dig back thru the holding RNSs you'll find his most recent. Believe it was on 6 June he reduced from just under 24% to 18.43%, so closer to 46m shares.

If he reduces at any point it will be obvious as a) you'll see a big share sale vs the usual minimal daily volume; and b) if it is him selling, you'll have an RNS within 24 hours of that share sale showing his new % holding.

He won't be selling anything in the foreseeable future if you ask me. He's all in on the chips now so will be hoping for a successful Brexit; a solid Q3 update then an opportunity to dump a few more shares a >£5 in early November. We'll be stagnating until then as no PE buyer will be wanting his shares yet when there is a reasonable chance he'll have to take a low ball offer should Brexit implode.

Because the share is viewed as a P.O.S by the market. And Woodford just makes it all the 5hittier.

And again. FTSE opens -0.3% down....PFG -1.8% down.

Always seems we have a 5x multiple on the fall and only a 1.5x multiple on the rise. Something has to give soon otherwise logically the price eventually ends up at £nil.

Amigo is up again today. About 30% on the week. Off no news. Yet PFG again is down on the week. Everything on this is red on the stats - 1 wk, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 12 month, 1 yr, 2 yr...... it has to turn a corner soon as the business is in far far far better shape than it was a yr ago, yet all the above price performance doesn’t reflect it.

Sooner Woodford rucks off the better

Amigo and Morses both up 10% today, NSF up 6%. NSF had awful results yesterday, Amigo and Morses no news...yet all up 6-10%.

PFG, the leader in the same sector....up 1.6%.

This was my earlier point about the correlation with the market. FTSE up 1.1% today, when its down 1.1% we are down around 5%. Up 1.1% we are up only 1.6%. The maths isn't working somewhere. PFG is due a rocket uplift at some stage, but God knows when.

They've just changed the date as it was 31/10. Probably a sensible move give that was Brexit D-Day. Also combining with their capital markets day on 7/11 is a good PR exercise.

I think limited news will come out before then, except as you say potentially the FCA investigation ending in full, but they may save that news as a booster to announce with Q3 update.

Share price until then is going to continue to be at the mercy of the global market volatility and the odd bit of negative news on Woodford which invariably seems to drop once a fortnight.

quite right, apols - I had ex-div date as 16th in my head but it is 15th isnt it.
Which makes the sp situation even more of a disaster!

Technically this isn't ex-div until market closes tomorrow. I just can't believe its fallen 35% since the bid fell away and nearly 25% since the day high on the announcement of results....with price still falling despite the prospect of a dividend. It will get slammed on market open on Friday no doubt. Yesterday was a prime example of how the share price falls at a much higher delta to the market than when it rises. Each day market was down 1% we were down 4%, then when market bounces 1% we are still down 0.5%! The chart on this is sickening. Have to laugh.

I'm well aware of the Woodford effect, but he didn't sell at 550p following the bid, he didnt sell any at 450p following the interims boost so he's not going to sell at 350p. I would expect the market not to be at the underlying intrinsic value of what is probably around 600p, but to be down at nearly half of that and still falling is horrendous. I wish I could avoid looking at this for 12 months but I can't help myself each day to check.

And here we go again! Steady start then plunge 3% to 360p. Lovely stuff. No reason. Just because. Worst share on the market. At least twice a week this appears on the FTSE250 Top 5 losers list published each morning of trading. Was on there yesterday too. I can’t think of any shares that perform consistently worst. Even metro has huge volatility so will swing up 15-20% every few days despite the overall downward momentum. PFG is small loss on a good day. Big loss on a bad day. Sorry fellas, I’m still holding long term but this share is driving me insane!

Yes and given this is PFG we are talking about I’m expecting a 9p drop for the divi and an additional 40p drop for the share being an absolute shower of ah1te!!

Stocks surge this afternoon with most shares both sides of the Atlantic strongly in the green.....oh, except poor old PFG. Can’t win!

I bought more earlier at 359 purely for the dividend.

£2.2m buy this morning and literally no sells. Yet the price has now gone to 357p. I swear this is now becoming a game to flush Woodford’s shares out but for us everyday shareholders with savings and pension tied up here it’s no fun at all.

Article in Citywire today highlighting Peel Hunt buy rating and 550p price target saying the business recovery has hit an inflection point and with div yield 7%+ and 1.2 times book cover it’s signicantly undervalued. Yet here we are. Down again.

Down again. 3% in first 30 mins of trade. New all time low. This share is an utter utter disgrace. An absolute dog. It’s at the point now where the company needs to make a statement to at least acknowledge the share price decline.

I said we’d go below 350 this week and still falling. Well be below 300 in due course. Sickening. Every single day. It gets abused.
