All eyes on Iheart tomorrow Sirius could bid $10 vs current SP sub $5 , would go a long way to support Audioboom at least doubling from here

News of Sirius takeover of Iheart couldn’t have come at a better time for Audioboom - shows that for traditional tv and radio operators not having a podcast division will be the difference between surviving or not

My view is bidder for Audioboom is someone that isn’t already a strong podcasting division and will be willing to pay a premium to take all the IP

The fact that competitor share prices are currently flying will also help the SP in run up to a bid and also justify a significant premium to the price today, those huge buys yesterday didn’t look like ordinary PIs to me

The timeline to wrap up by 30th June only works if theres action by a bidder and goes public in the next 2-3 weeks latest

Also Stuart Linkdin post last night about being third biggest on Podscribe ranker - March ranker was released 2 weeks ago so why try and make a point how large they are now?

I think indicative bids were high enough to be interested but either just falling a bit short of what board want or trying to get that extra 10% in negotiations

My view was

Presentation was given to several interested parties and requested indicative offer price

The 2-3 best offers have been taken to final stage and opened up data room and DD already finished in Q1 but no one has made firm intent to buy otherwise they would need to file 2.7

Now that Q1 update is public( waited to release great results to justify a higher price) they are forcing best and final bids by giving 30th June deadline to conclude strategic review ( they don’t mind if this slips) just to add some urgency and wrap this up as has been 7 months now

So now probably given the 2-3 bidders a deadline by early May to make firm intent to make a bid and can consult shareholders during this time then by end of May offer is made public to all shareholders and we have until end of June to accept

Something like that , all a strategy now to add some urgency and receive highest bid possible . Advisors would be experts at running this way time and time again

At the moment bidders have only said they’re considering making an offer they might chose not to so probably why SP hasn’t taken off

I think they will give bidders a deadline end of April to confirm they intend to make a firm offer or leave the process then bidder has until end of May to actually name the price

Then shareholders have 28 days say end of June to accept or not

Something like that unless someone understands it differently

Maybe not public but then maybe the rule applies behind the scenes to the board
