RE: THE YEAR OF THE PHOENIX ?

Aka THE YEAR OF THE LEPER…
I’ve been in VAL for many years and still hold some shares to show it’s catastrophic loss in my portfolio - it serves as a clear and daily reminder to me not to repeat mistakes of the past.
On 16th Dec, the sp was 14p, and there were keyboard warriors claiming significant funds were coming in and that 20p, 30p, 40p and 50p or more was extremely likely. The sp is now at 5.9p. Says it all really and potential new investors should take note.
Below is what was posted by me 5 Nov 2023 and then on 16th Dec 2023 in response to all the bullish rumours on this board.:

Only 97% down. Tumbleweed moment with VAL 401!
I feel like I’ve been here before…
Oh, I have.
Time will tell if it’s any different to the 2nd, 3rd or however many false starts there have been.
Only need another 900%+ to recover my losses.
A leopard never changes its spots, neither does a leper (which is a pretty apt way of describing a chronically sick excuse of a pharma company).
@steven49
“management partly to blame”???
Re-read the RNS.
Absolutely damning statement from JW.
100% its management incompetence.
Quite astonishing what JW has uncovered including that the then production plans were uneconomic. Knowing what I know now, I would have sold all my holding, rather then just 50% last year to invest in Kodal.
All hopes for a recovery now rest on his shoulders, and his ability to secure funding and/or do a successful placing. He is motivated to do so as he, as he points out in the RNS, has a significant financial stake in the outcome. Good luck JW.
From what Dennis has said about structuring the company,, the purchase of 29.9% of the company, the change of registered office, there could be company-changing news on the way, perhaps even owner-changing news. I know as much as the next guy, but I’ve been trying to make sense of the shenanigans, and this seems to be the explanation that surfaces easily.

From my direct experience of international public bidding processes, there is initially a technical qualification process (Stage 1) followed by a financial qualification process (Stage 2) for those that pass Stage 1. Looks like Clontarf have passed Stage 1 and now need a minimum “cash in bank” balance (eg to fund performance guarantees) to successfully pass Stage 2.
No guarantee of course that once past Stage 2 they will be awarded anything, but they are making progress in a niche area.
I like the tone of the email, and sit with everything crossed for more news expected in April.
@goingtomoonufo
Are you invested?
If so, what did you buy at and when, and what’s your target sell price?
What financial numbers for revenue and gross profit have you calculated in respect to the JORC compliant indicated and inferred copper resources and target gold resources? I would be interested to understand your calculations too.
Copper @ $9068 seems to be starting a bit of a rally. If GWMO can get this copper proved up, should be engcouraging for a JV partner.
Gold @$2160 also looking very strong, with some forecast of $2500+.
I'm expecting 2024 to be the year I finally get some decent returns on this investment.
In April 23 I mentioned about a possible TO, and it was derided. Now it seems the flavour of the moment!

Next move after funding…
20 Apr 2023 15:58
Happy days. Glad I got in early and I’m definitely holding on to my @KodalMinerals shares… I think this is just the start of a MASSIVE rerate. I wouldn’t be surprised if Hainan make a bid for the entire operation, as happened with Kazera’s lithium/tantalum operation - their Chinese partner Hebei Xinjian Construction initially bought in to fund the mine, then subsequently made an offer to buy the whole thing out.
And if a sale is considered, I’m sure B won’t sell it cheap.
As we know with AIM, anything’s possible. If B walks away with a life changing amount of money, then I’m sure he could be tempted…. Let’s hope it would go to a bidding war.
FYI Mandatory Offer
https://code.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk/tp/rules/rule-9/rule-9-1.html
Well, if a company hasquielty built a larger stake of 30% or more, perhap through another entity, then those entities join, then they must make an offer subject to the criteria set out by the Takeover and Merger Panel.
There have certainly been lots of sellers over the last few months to make shares available if such a plan was in play.
Who knows!
@steven49
I refer the right honourable gentlemen to the post I made some moments ago.
Or maybe I’ll use your style of communication:
I FEEL as though they still have lots of money left from the $4m+ already received to invest…
(I couldn’t bring myself to write in “text speak”!)

@steven49
So, have they spent the $4.85m received so far (as at 15th Dec 23, so it could be more) from the sale of the mine?
Really?
And on what grounds don’t you thing the license is some time away.
You could be right, you could be wrong but let’s deal with facts Steven and not how you “feel”.

Steven ,Steven, Steven….
Calm down dear chap, please. I worry about your blood pressure.
As others have pointed out, on ME watch, the share price has plummeted and too many false starts.
We now have Wardle driving things forward. He has invested considerably (rather than taking a near £200k salary), and has delivered a financing term sheet which bodes well. I did ok out of Amerisur, and look forward to seeing some good progress here over the next 6-months.
