The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Even though an extension to Long Stop, they are continuing to work together to minimise any delays.
And the fact that Hainan have gone to the trouble of getting approvals, is for me another sign of commitment. They will not want to lose face.
As reported widely, the Chinese are hoovering up global resources, and this is yet another example. (I still wouldnt be surprised if they did make an offer for the entire operation).
And this is irrespective of the potential resource upgrade...
I am reassured and happy to hold :-)
"The parties are fully committed to the completion of the funding transaction as soon as possible and continue to work together to prepare for the development of the project with activities including additional metallurgical testwork, engineering planning and review and finalisation planning for the proposed DMS development.
The approvals the Hainan and Xinmao have received from the Chinese Government authorities, and as announced by the Company on 13 April 2023, remain valid for the parties to complete its funding and investment, including "Overseas Project Investment Filing Certificates" from the Hainan Province National Development and Reform Commission ("NDRC") and Company Overseas Investment Certificate from the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province."
Seems as though the benefits of a producing mining company also refining their product could be a newly recognised value-add for junior miners:

(@poppyseed - I know it’s a repost of your link but I thought it might be useful to mention the sale to AMS too)
So AMS are buying in at 1.5p? And the SP is at 0.875p?
So what is it they know that we don’t that gives them confidence to buy in?
Methinks there is an interesting few weeks ahead.

One can only assume it’s a buy as at the time of the trade the SP had not increased.
Well this makes the next few weeks more interesting. Someone appears confident enough to stick £143k in to the casino.
@SmartMoney1
I hope you are right.
Yet for some reason I have niggles of doubt.
It felt like such a hard sell , and presented in a pretty shoddy way. A wide shot lacking in viewer engagement, ME almost side on to camera (no eye contact) with legs crossed and sounding pretty uninspiring, over modulated sound on the TP spokesman, yet low level on ME…. It just felt very parochial. A poor example of a fireside chat. LSE would have done a much better job (even if they do have videos annoyingly popping up now!).
And that’s just the presentation side of things.
In terms of what was actually reported, it all sounds rather good, doesn’t it? But ME said the potential is overlooked. Not the value. The potential. And that for me is the nub of the issue. And as for the company being under the radar, with
the Bloomberg interview (when the SP shot up 50% only to crash back down again), the BOD being known and connected , and the Align debacle making its way in to the mainstream financial press, no, that’s not the problem.
Maybe the problem is so many broken promises in relation to funding, that investors are wary of getting anywhere near this until revenues are being reported. Hopefully there are numerous investors waiting in the wings ready to pile in when the company shows itself to be truly cash generating. We will see.
And for the avoidance of doubt, I am a LTH of IRON. When I invested, it was a significant part of my portfolio, and needs to grow considerably from where it is now to regain that accolade. Here’s hoping that tomorrow this sleeping giant starts to wake up.
It was all working seamlessly until the recent upgardes and now an annoying video keeps popping up (and no, I'm not refering to @benboringb****x), all my text was put in to lower case, and now there is a greyed out button to decline cookies so you are led to believe you cant click it. Are you that desperate to get my data?
good grief, i knew it was going to be a bad 24-hours when @benboring"i hope you dont mind"b*****x posted...
and now the "this is over valued" "what a **** company", "mali is too risky" crew descend on this bb.
so a drop on news, just before some pontetially transformational news comes through. don't you think that maybe, just maybe, history repeats itself time and time again with weak-kneed spinless pis selling out on random posts only for those shares to be picked up by those who may be associated with the doomsayers?
ok, we all know the proverbial can hit the fan, but in my view, this is the final tree shake before news comes in.
and based on all the news, not rumours, i am content to sit this ride out.
its not often i post what some may construe as ramping - i am just long in tooth and i've seen the "rinse and repea"t ccyle all too often, leaving the pi watching as others get rich.
of course, i may be wrong, but i've factored that risk in to my investment decision.
i have a hunch that this is going to bounce back very strongly and very soon.
Couldn’t agree more. The old saying that about wealth transferring from the impatient to the patient and all that.
I’m holding until there is definitive news and will make investment decisions on that, not gossip and ramblings.
@benmatthewgraham
I do mind! Boring, uninformative and quite frankly pointless.
I don’t think you’ll get the number of followers to be able to monetise your channel.
Fill your boots and keep making your videos, but give it a rest posting across these boards.
“I hope you don’t mind”. Jeez.
All,
Earlier this month I sent an email to Dennis after my disappointment about my perceived lack news in the last investor presentation. I’m not going to copy and paste his reply, as I don’t have his permission to do that, but what he did reaffirm is a Special Dividend is still a possibility if funds, once received , aren’t needed for projects that will create shareholder value.
We all know from previous RNS that diamonds are a not the next “big thing” for KZG, so I’m not necessarily pinning my hopes for a rising SP on that, but I am prepared to wait a little longer for news on HMS which potentially is very impactful.
Align responded by Twitter to say that AMS will have ownership once the final tranche of their shares has been transferred (implying not yet) so again I’ll wait for that to happen for AMS to reveal their hand in terms of their “value add”. What we do know that is that AMS are very experienced and connected in the region, and I can only assume that is why they are buying Align’s shares at a premium.
It’s all quite intriguing.
I was hoping the sp would languish over the last week to allow my next SIPP payment to go through.
Bought another 1m this afternoon. If it stays around here for another month, then I’ll repeat the process . If not, and things start moving north, I’m quids in anyway.
I posted this back in February of last year:
"Simplistic price forecast: 450,000 oz at £1354/oz = £609,300,000Divide that by 3,570,000,000 shares in issue and you get £0.17. Deduct 50% for all in sustaining cash cost for mining and still at 8.5p profit . And that’s the lowest end of forecast of oz’s recoverable just from Olympic. Just need to prove up the asset and away we go, potential mega multi bagger."
And that's just the gold which is now at £1574/oz, 14% higher....
Some people saying 2p... I think potentially a lot higher....
Check through some of my postings here - maybe 12-months ago…
Just my view on what I see happening technically ((again in my view) can reflect what is happening with fundamentals.
This can only go north IF there isn’t a major disrupt or.
The gold alone if monetised would give an SP in multiples of where we are now.
I dare to believe that this company could be transformational for my pension fund.
