"I think I've stated I play with 10k and have broken even over last 3 years pot has swung from 4.2k to 16.7k I enjoy the buzz better than renting a yacht in st Tropez for a week"
If you genuinly enjoy it and don't mind losing everything then 10k spent on so. Thing you enjoy is fair enough.. To be about break even after 3 years isn't great since you could of just bought a index and ignored it.
You should be able to do 15-20% a year especially the last 3... Don't forget that inflation too munching away at it.
Try not to lose it all :-)
I'm seeing the signs of capitulation on other forums where retail are giving up on crypto and throwing in the towel on thier crypto stock holdings... A very good sign we might be on the turn.. Maybe a little lower but I don't think it will be long now (says the guy that was waiting for the super support at 27.5k ha)
@Hexam
Agree totally with what you say but it's a bit concerning that it was done at such a low value. Yes if 76 wasn't hit at due date then it would need to be paid in cash but it's 3 years away, surely we expect mara to be over 16 at some point in the next 3 years at which point we could if just dine a equity raise.
Unless other news comes to light I will remember it as an investor screw-over and not in the best interest of current shareholders..
I think Fred a has said on a number of occasions... Share issues are to be used for the growth if the company not ops.
"Kr1 SP not great I agree"
I sold kr1 for 52p back in March when btc was around 23k
Btc is now at 26k and kr1 is 46p
It is so illiquid it is a challenge to sell any reasonable size holding although it's easy to buy it which makes me think there is a queue of folks lines upt o offload it.
On paper it might seem OK but in reality it was not a nice experience, if it was on a diffent market it might stand a chance.
"The chuz. you will probalby be ok. just give it time. you just jumped the gun in bearish conditions. 5.2 will look like a good buy in a few months or weeks in my opinion."
Im actually quietly confident that btc will rip soon mainly because of all the doom and gloom about it right now.
I just hate buying the tops even if it's just the high for the day.. Although the thing I hate worse is not buying and then it shoots up.
Come October time I don't think I'll care in the slightest as we should be going up well with btc.
Pays ya money, takes ya chance.
The last buy was cleanspark... Im now, mara, riot, cleanspark and tesla..
As portfolios go it's looks like someone has dropped a bottle of ketchup and left a bit of a mess.
I've been buying the dip from 28k down and now I'm all in.. So would prefer it to turn round about now
I'm buying again as soon as market opens in 5 mins, I'm hoping for a bit of an uptick soon after it opens... Either that or bitty will leg down again and it means I'll take another hit... Then it's just a matter of holding on for a bit
"Does look like some eye watering miner movements ahead come 2:30, should be lively. Mulling that old debate to either catch that falling knife or await reversal,"
Falling knife for me, it can turn too fast, as we know if btc can drop 10% in a day it can also gain 10% in a day.. Which can be a pain if it's the weekend.
"Do share how you think a company with ~£55m debt and no cash just switches to concentrating on Ethereum?"
The whole post was flawed haha.
My line of thought was it needs to get out of the mining game because it's not going to be able compete.. So I was thinking what else can a company do which has significant computational power... ASICS is Asics so can't be used for anything else which is why my thoughta went to ethereum.... Forgetting that it's now Proof of Stake.

"Since Ethereum moved to proof-of-stake Argo has zero mileage there; giving up on BTC would render all their hardware (even more) worthless. It would be commercial suicide. Arguably it's slowly doing that anyway, before anyone says, suicide faster I mean."
As someone who spent years mining ethereum and had to decommission all of my rigs when it went POS you would think that I would of remembered that it went POS.. Fair play my brain power is turning to dog sh** these days.
If I was Argo I would give up on BTC and concentrate Etherium with a switch across into AI processing.
They just can't compete anymore in the world of btc. Helios was the dream, now it's galaxy's and for a fraction of what was spent on it.
I do not see any possible way Argo can have a future in btc.. I think it can stay afloat with a complete change of business strategy but then it would be just a name and bare no resemblance to how it is today...
To think PW was soooo stoked, I blame it on the swimming pool
"The next bull run around next years halving, could well be the last decent one imo."
Like others, I am out at the next high, it will be time to hand it over to those just entering the market on histeria, they will more than likely be those who tell me that it's all a scam at the moment... With the bitter irony of confirming thier beliefs as they become bag holders.

I tried to buy the other week through Hargreaves lansdown at 0.89 but couldn't as they wouldn't take any buy/sell. Would of been some very easy money.. And plenty of it.. Alas it wasn't to be another missed one."
Umm not sure what I was looking at the other day but it doesn't appear to be clnspk.. Glad I couldn't buy it haha
