had a full read now of the charge and all looks fine and normal.one thing has struck me though, seeing the charge is signed by lansing davis. presumably if he had already been appointed as a director the charge would/might constitute some sort of related party transaction. not sure about this, but if it did it would require additional formalities to complete, so they may have been waiting for the charge to be completed before appointing him.that would make sense now I've thought about it.

sorry keith but mel is absolutely right here.it is excellent news imo as it shows the davis loan is proceeding.i have skim read the charge and it looks pretty standard form.i will read it in detail tonight and if there is anything unusual or of concern outside a normal commercial arrangement i will reference it. i am i am relieved to see this, as it shows davis are going ahead (a credit agreement has been created simultaneously with rhapsody which is secured by the charge.we don't get see the credit agreement but obviously it is that referenced in the AD .expect to hear details of Lansing Davis board appointment shortly imo.

been giving a bit more thought to your post as to what would drive users to move from the free to the paid format, as it's a highly relevant question. looks to me that for the money you ge a few more analytical tools (my description for want of a better one) but you also get a wider range of recommendations. i can imagine that its the recommendations which will be the potential appeal.not much int discovering you are30 years old chronologically, but 75 biologically, unless you get some guidance as to what to do to address matters. not saying thats going to be a big selling point as we dont know and i share your general scepticism, but perhaps it's a generational thing. as always time will tell.

what we don't know of course, is whether the "free"version generates any revenue. i have zero understanding of how free apps generate revenue, but i assume it's through some form of advertising.not suggesting that is happening here as we've no information.nevertheless the figures do seem encouraging.

in the midst of all the doom and gloom(to which have contributed in some small part i thought it might be a salutary reminder to refer back to the 2nd feb reach ren re napster. not suggesting it is revelatory, but it does indicate at least a continuing solid performance is likely. my point really is that even though napster alone was barely profitable in the last full year (to dec 2019) its revenue was over $100m. glaser in the 3rd quarter earnings call refers to napster as having had a decent performance, so it seems reasonable to assume similar figures for2020 (just an assumption, i emphasise). so even if we conjecture that mvr somehow manage to decimate napster's earnings for the current year (and there is absolutely nothing to suggest that will happen and my assumption is that for the time being napster is just chugging along doing its own thing) and they come in at, for example,half that figure, we still have a company that is valued at not much more than one years earnings..now i appreciate this is a fairly reductivist analysis and that a simple earnings valuation leaves out multiple other factors, but nevertheless it does, at least me, suggest a significant disconnect between the current s/p and current value.just my opinion of coursehttps://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/MVR/napster-b2b-contract-renewals-and-platform-metrics/14848924?lang=en

mooney i don't think we have any details about time limits for conversion . nothing was said in the initial announcement, so on the face of it they can do it anytime.im no expert but i think would be usual to have some time limit for conversion, so there may be some longstop date, which wevejust not been told about.however, as I'm less than impressed with some of the details of naps's actions recently, it wouldn't surprise me if no one thought about it (i share the concerns of other posters as to the quality of advice they are getting. probably shouldn't make too much of this as frustration and disappointment are driving the narrative at the moment, twhich are not the best tools for clear thinking)

Mooney111 whilst I'm not disagreeing with the tone of your post (its all extremely disappointing) there has been no need for naps to say anything until yesterday. they don't have to announce the loans,simply the conversions.there have only been two conversions so far,covering all the loans so far issued..no applicable timescale for conversion, only for loan notes issues
