dougie i wouldn't take much notice of my thought tbh,as I've been wrong about pretty much everything here.that said,i now think its all down to sales, as and when and if we get any. the lack of a positive meaningful response to the good trial news(we are below where we were on thursday)suggests that it's only real sale news which will have any meaningful impact and as the FDA timescale won't allow for sales in us for at least two and a half years i don't think we can expect a boost from that direction any time soon.if fortacin hasnt been available in eu for several months(we are not 100% certain about this but it rather looks that way)then again no boost from eu sales news can be expected for the time being and even that supposes there will be good news,which given our history is not a prospect i can view with confidence.obviously anything could happen but I've never expected any US licensing news until FDA approval which as i say is a long way off .could be wrong but the terms of the china deal were not inspiring,so anything agreed before fda approval is not likely to be on stunningly advantageous terms,imo.thats the bad news.the only positive is that our current M/C of about £38m seems to attach very little value to fortacin if you take out the 29% or so of that figure which can be attributed to Venturex.it wouldn't need to be fantastic sales news to move the needle quite a bit imo,but its going to have to be real news, not just expectations and assessments of the addressable market,which we know have been overly optimistic in the past.always the chance of left field news of course,either re fortacin itself or longevity sphere,but thats really just a matter of wishing and hoping.sorry not to be very encouraging.

mel surely read is being appointed in a NED capacity,nothing more.also bear in mind NED's have to perform personal due diligence before undertaking the role.what this means in practice is of course open to interpretation.why after all this time has lansing davis finally been appointed.

perhaps i should emphasise that the person i spoke to made it clear they did not have a definite date, so how much of the few days or a week or so was simple conjecture on their part I'm not sure.

afternoon Flennen.have spoken to II and they checked with corporate action team.if i have understood them correctly they had a communication from the custodian indicating they would get confirmation on the new stock line on the 15th july,but then this was changed and they are still awaiting the new confirmation,which they are expecting in the next few days or a week or so.as you can sense it was all a bit vague,but it does sound as though something will happen shortly.not very helpful I'm afraid but i was advised just to check the account over the next few days.good job i am not wishing to sell.obviously if it isn't sorted quite soon i may have to approach it differently,but you can only get so far on the telephone.

problem is no sales and no revenue.you can ride the train out of the station fuelled on hope and expectation,but eventually you come to the red light and signal which says no further without sales or revenue.apologies for the silly analogy,but you get my meaning.i do not see how any serious investor( mellon's mates don't count) will ever get on board this particular train without evidence that we can sell the product.if it hasn't been on sale since feb/march then we won't be getting any numbers in next figures,so nothing to support any s/p improvement.hope I'm wrong.was mildly pleased to see zhavoronkov's puff piece (it actually did mention DLI and regent towards the end) as if he loses interest in DLI it will be another negative blow.obviously it will be years,if ever,before this aspect can become revenue positive I'm afraid.

interesting to see that our new brokers/nomad have been heading the ask order book almost constantly this morning from open.all very (and disquietingly )odd!

morning albert.that may well be the case.just feel that if they are in a position to buy this would send a better signal to the market.i fully accept they may not be in a position to do so.

fair comments mel,but i think the cause would be better served by them buying significant amounts of shares rather than forgoing salary.unfortunately i don't see them doing that either.hope I'm wrong.interesting that so far no large holders have reduced,at least so far as we know.

well that's friday's modest gains and some extra gone. very disappointing.

morning mel.for once i disagree with you ,I'm afraid.i understand and respect the sentiments producing that view,but personally i think it would send completely the wrong message to the market,one of desperation and panic.we sometimes get directors forgoing remuneration if cash is running out or after a series of bad news events,but here there s no serious suggestion that we are running out of money and apart from the N&G clns news,which was not universally regarded as bad initially,althfhough clearly proving to be so in practice,we have not actually had any bad news.sure the s,p performance is awful,but the directors forgoing salary isn't in and of itself,going to change that.positive news of activity and user base expansion etc,is the only thing that will do that.just my opinion and i accept there are other ways of looking at it.

as kdonkey suggests,the news re the non clinical human factor study is imo positive,as the numbers involved are tiny.as to the wider commercial aspect,it doesn't seem to tell us much.suspect they felt obliged to reference the commercial sphere in a vague way,so as not to appear to ignore it when updating re the non clinical trial.personally i think it has to be seen as neutral.just my opinion.

they also have the confirmatory clinical study as per RNS of 22/3/21. 100 or so patients.agree the wording is unclear regarding commercial out licensing agreements.i assume from the use of the word "interested' in relation to parties, that they are still negotiating,as otherwise they would be more than interested,but this could be completely wrong and i may be reading more into it than is warranted..greater precision and clarity would have been helpful

well at least i can stop asking when he is going be appointed.
