afternoon bignose.you did give me pause for a second,but no its the right board.II is the platform on which Flennen and i hold out regent/erp shares and you may recall he was concerned that the account had not been updated with name change and was showing no value.just a beaurocratic thing requiring formal notice from II's custodian which was delayed.just letting him know its all been done now,but thanks for the interest.

fair point RWT2. as i say no one can predict how things will turn out and there will certainly be the most robust opposition to change from the meat industry and affiliates, but there are very powerful forces at play here,' so its going to be interesting to watch the story unfold.

no one can predict how all this will play out, but it does seem as though favourable sentiment does not lie with the meat eaters, however reluctant they may be to relinquish or reduce their consumption (myself included i should add). whatever the merits of the respective arguments regarding the levels of emissions from one type of production or another, at the end of the day public sentiment (albeit skilfully manipulated no doubt by those with their own agendas) will most probably win out and i think we can all guess what direction that is moving in. just my opinion of course.

well CB thanks for that.not entirely sure what I'm looking at,but anything shareholders can do to support the s/p is welcome.

evening all.been out all day so just catching up.modest but acceptable rise,but unfortunately the volume just isn't there.not sure what we would regard as decent volume these days,but 7.9m just isn't there.suggests to me no real interest and as you suggest bignose,j just day traders trading the news. looks like we are back to waiting for real substantive news re sales etc.could be a long wait. I'm afraid.

evening albert.been out all day so just catching up.the newly converted shares are admitted on friday,so trading then and in the following days will be interesting.impossible to predict what N&G will do next.at an average of 1.48p will they want to do another conversion at or around this level,thereby reducing the value of their existing substantial holding? will they sell down part to lower the s/p and then convert the remainder or part thereof? they would make a loss on the sold down portion, but perhaps they might think it worthwhile to get the remaining £2m worth at an even lower figure and bet on a fairly quick s/p increase as news regarding the app starts to emerge? would that make mathematical sense? are they really likely to remain as long term investors? so many questions and I'm certainly not going to try and offer any answers, but its going to be an interesting next few days. TR1 technically due within an aggregate of 5 trading days of the relevant threshold being reached etc,so expect to have a better idea by end of next week.

also albert it is interesting to work out N&G's average cost for the £6m converted to date. i make it to be about 1.48p (that's the simple average cost without trying to factor in if they made a profit on the 1% or so they sold down on the way).helps to put their position in perspective,although no idea what the ultimate aim is. i suppose they have to be wary now of bringing the s/p down much further because of the impact on their very sizeable existing holding, so expecting significant upside from here.happy to be corrected if my arithmetic is off;

correction.my fractions are a bit off,as i disregarded the $3.2m milestone payment.iwas just comparing in my own mind the respective impacts of venturex revaluation and the fortacin revaluation.so each actually contributed somewhat less than half taking account of the milestone payment,but the fortacin figures still a little larger than the venturex impact,which was really my point.hope thats clearer.

afternoon bignose.just seen the alert and yes congrats to heimdal for predicting it.almost half of the loss reduction is due to the revaluation of Venturex i think, which was i suppose predictable,but what is interesting is that slightly more than half stems from the revised fair value for fortacin.now that is to some extent an accountancy exercise, based on professional valuation opinions, but then so were the impairment revisions which caused the figures to look so bad initially.so it's a question of opinion, but the opinions have , i assume, to be supported by some reasoning, which may just be the positive marketing consultant's analysis anyway, it's certainly better than going the other way. will we get a bounce? i suppose that it may just bring home to the investment community that the venturex holding has increased significantly, a fact which seems simply to have been ignored,but that said its been clear that that was the case for some time.not sure the revised fortacin element will have any obvious impact,as its all on paper in this regard,but who knows.fingers crossed and gal

evening all.interesting news thanks, heimdal re venturex and develop.its fun to play around with the potential market figures for fortacin,but the reality.,imo ,is that it is quite impossible to come up with any reliable estimate of what it might all mean in practice.we have a history of overly optimistic estimates for europe and massive disappointment in reality,(although things may perhaps be improving or about to improve with otc). clearly critical to overcome the supply chain difficulties so more news on that would be welcome.whatever the size of the market in practice,our share is going to be determined by the as yet unknown factors of what type of deal/deals we get. royalties and if so at what rate? profit sharing and if so at what percentage? the detail will have a massive impact on whether or not we need to get the grain silos on order again.only joking as although the speculative figures do give some cause for optimism, we know only too well that things can turn out very differently in practice.in the meantime its going to be interesting to see what erp's approach to the VXR holding is. looking at it simplistically, it would seem sensible to consider some form of top slicing at this point. get some cash, but keep some shares to stay in the game etc. time will hopefully tell.

croydonboys you refer to deals having been signed and posted on the web. are you able, please ,to specify exactly what deals you are referring to and if possible post links? this would help to add considerably to the force of your posts.
