RBBe i don't know what strategies large sophisticated investors have at their disposal to trade in ways which are not open to the smaller investor, but off market trades are not,i believe, necessarily fully reported,so their dealings may quite legitimately have escaped full market attention.anyway regardless of how they have got to this position,i agree that with their existing holding and the outstanding CLNs the have very considerable firepower indeed to manipulate matters further.it would seem almost a given that they would be sensible to convert sooner rather than later, almost regardless of their view on the company's prospects.it wouldn't seem sensible to seek to drop the s/p too much from here as this would impact on their existing very sizeable holding.however i accept the the situation may be more nuanced and complicated than my perfunctory appraisal would suggest.i cannot see any reason why they would not be happy to move to a position of being the major shareholder(by quite some margin i think) pretty much immediately,as they have in effect already paid for the shares, and must have contemplated this possible scenario when reaching agreement on the deal.whether they would wish to remain in that position over a period of time will no doubt depend on many factors,so we can only guess at their intentions.what i do hope however is that davis remain committed as a long term financial supporter(remember the facility is for a fixed period and will need repaying,or more likely renegotiated, towards the end of the period). i do not feel comfortable with N&g being in such an influential position and agree that until their long term involvement is clarified, it my well have a deterrent effect as regards other potential investors. i do however expect this to become clearer over the next few months, as I'm assuming(hoping?)that we shall start to see a modest or more than modest s/p revival as we move towards the app launch.
