I totally agree with your comments, taking to production is way more risky than ANY other outcome.
I suspect it is what BHP would like..

Of course no one wants to lose money on their investment/s, however there is a difference to being realistic and clutching at every straw to justify their investment.

No it doesn’t, it makes zero difference and potentially more likely, if NCM are bought out, their stake will be sold off.
There will be no bid for SOLG based on the current environment.
Nothing has changed apart from a merger which would not have deterred any genuine interested party in Solg anyway.
The bid story is made up and perpetuated by investors who need a return on their investment, simple as that.

Pricing at public charging points has gone nuts in conjunction with electric prices going through the roof.
But that will drop when V2H comes into regular use and the price of electric drops to reflect less stress on the grid.
Articles from the likes of Giles Coren recently have not helped, but EVs are the way forward. Surely he knew **** having access to a home charging point would create issues.

Depends on the weather/temperature.
One comfortably does 5 miles per KW the other is half that.
But 8 months of the year the KW are free and off peak is 7.5p. Plenty of people still on a rip off peak tariff though.
But there have been free chargers and still are since I first got an EV in 2020.

EVs cost 1p a mile if you charge at home .
Quite a few EVS could do your trip on 1 charge, if you have a Tesla then a top would take 5 mins and the infrastructure is very good.
If your house is set up environmentally friendly then it isn’t even 1p a mile if you take other factors into account.
Everything else to do with energy in this country is a joke, from the government strategy to implementation.

The sp is 16p because there is zero bid interest, a merger with a tiny partner will not change any dynamic here.
