Seriously how can anyone defend that gas, coal fired power stations aren’t more polluting than solar wind etc.

Just because china refuses to make an effort in de-carbonising their use dirsntbmean the west are wrong. Which country is producing the most EVs these days?

There are valid arguments on both sides, currently, but carrying on with fossil fuels is a cost argument, more than anything else, and as renewable gains more traction the fossil brigade will lose one of their big justifications for oil, gas etc

The UK needs to make renewable usage more appealing like other western countries are doing, including infrastructure.

Paying billions a year to wind farms because they can’t use the electric generated is farcical and expensive

Not often I agree with you add, but JSO are doing their cause no favours whatsoever and I wish the protestors who are making lots of lives miserable with their ill thought out protests would get a criminal record and be locked up….that’s what they deserve.

I have embraced renewable energy etc because it’s been financial viable, anyone that’s says it isn’t, isn’t investing in panels batteries etc if they can possibly, as I get some can’t install a charger or fit solar panels but where people can it’s a no brainier in terms of ROI.

London is much cleaner with ULEZ but you can’t penalise people who have to pay a ridiculous charge just to get around and go about their daily lives, a balance needs to be found.

All this range anxiety of EV’s and no chargers is rubbish, there are plenty of chargers around unfortunately public charging is way too expensive compared to home charging.

Trouble is once you get used to driving around for virtually nothing it’s hard to stomach being stitched up at a public charger. When I say stitched up, paying what ICE drivers have to pay.

Amazes me there are still free chargers around in an energy crisis……….

It’s also disgraceful that EDF, British Gas etc are making a fortune from customers when many cant heat their homes in winter…….

Why do investors need to post bullish views on here, if the investment is a good investment it will rise on its own.

There is a reason people use twitter to pump and dump stocks……

Nowhere have I seen any evidence cascable is viable economically and at the end of the day that will determine what/if someone makes an offer.

However, I suspect we have already seen the high for the sp and holders who didn’t exit in the 40s believed the hype and reality is starting to dawn on investors.

Therein lies the problem you have no idea how they will or even IF they will ever achieve that.

Produce a list where I said it would never happen, I didn’t, what I did say is time is running out.

Most governments are useless but solg have put some effort in to getting it over the line.

However as the market showed and despite the ott enthusiasm on here on the licences being awarded it made zero difference to the sp albeit takes the pressure off it dropping closer to the previous deadline.

What I will say is I seriously doubt there will be a bid and a JV is the most likely outcome as Mather doesn’t need the cash and he wants to see this through to fruition no matter how risky that is.

To extrapolate the licences as some great government plan to get it all signed off prior to the election is pure fantasy and zero chance of that happening…….

Seriously you think a takeover, planning of a huge mine and getting it all signed off could happen in 29 days with a multi billion dollar company and a third world government, to help a government win an election.

Can you let everyone on here know which planet you are on as I have heard some optimistic timescales, in my time, but this one takes the biscuit…..

Any deal initially that would take place would involve a takeover of SOLG or buying out ENSA, not sure how that will help any government secure an election victory, this is just pie in the sky optimism at its finest…….

Posters will only be able to contextualise their posts depending on whether they are positive or negative. Negative posters cannot believe the positivity of some posters based on the news from the company over the past several years.

Take DBW for example if an RNS landed saying a nuclear bomb had been dropped on Ecuador he would view that as positive as no one else would be able to take SOLG’s licences whereas the actual facts are it would be disastrous.

Reminds me of a former prolific poster in one of DBW’s previous investments, which by the way he was in so deep with his gambling it affected his health, who when the said company lent money to Frank Timmis ( google him) it was a great investment. Needless to say the ceo of that company is currently about to go to jail for corruption and embezzlement.

You would think DBW would learn by his mistakes, obviously not……

Owning 100% or 85% makes zero difference to the saleability of Cascabel/solg etc no matter what anyone posts about corporate structure etc

That 15 % is minuscule in the greater scheme of things .

Mather was way too arrogant years ago when he was spouting solg could get funded for anything and holders believed his BS. Subsequent CEO’s carried on the same mantra. I remember one of the preventions alluded to investors throwing money at them before the first royalty deal when they weee running out of cash and this was when finance was cheap and plentiful. The outlook has changed massively on the finance front and not for the better but most holders on here still think they’ll get top dollar in any deal.

When will investors realise corporate employees are there to promote the company so everything is always rosy, it never ceases to amaze me how holders are desperate to hear positive news from company personnel and their close contacts.

You’d think holders would realise after years of disappointment that CEO’s always big up the company no matter what the news is and the news is never as good as what is promised nudge nudge wink wink

Owning cascabel within ENSA makes zero difference, to be able to purchase it, because multiple parties have stakes in SOLG, so they need an agreement from shareholders to offload it anyway.

As to newmont etc who knows what they will do as it is probably, sometime in the distance, which just makes a takeover/bid a non starter currently.

There is every chance they’ll offload the stake, I doubt they bought NCM for a minority stake in a minnow company.

Hardly worth their time or money.
