The thing is FTJNY I can take the emotion out of any opinion I have and that’s all it is, an opinion, which happens to have been accurate for many years on this stock.

It is amazing that holders of this stock, who are frustrated at the incompetence of the BOD, like to call posters with negative views troll, de-rampers etc

The clue is in the share price ……

However what isn’t beyond doubt there are several rampers red knight etc who post positive, and negative opinions, whilst trading the stock. Hypocrisy springs to mind…..

Not sure when LSE Set up this site they only wanted holders to comment, perhaps they should put that in the t&c’s before signing up if that would make you happier……

These boards are hilarious when someone posts an opposing view, to the rampers, out come the insults.

I don’t care what happens to this stock as I’m not or ever will be invested in this share mainly because where there licences are held.

However I read the boards frequently and ortherncopper seems a genuine poster and then there are those like fortissimo and red knight etc who have obviously over leveraged their positions and defend their ramping to the hilt.

It should be a combination of both wind and solar.
Which are both massively cheaper than fossil fuels.
And Kat’s silly suggestion about having to buy deep cycle battery banks is laughable, there are 1m battery banks sitting on drives 75% of the time

The technology for batteries etc is only going to improve range and efficiency.
For a company car, over the last 3 years, a £60k EV has been cheaper to run than a £30k ICE by a huge amount.
Not so much now as the grants have been removed and the cost of electric, has been inflated, but electric per kWh is already dropping back and public charters have started dropping their prices albeit slowly a bit like garages when the oil price rises and drops…..

So you think most western governments banning electric vehicles, in the future, will slow it down.
It is slowing down currently because of the high electric cost , but with over 1m EV’s and energy prices already falling it will pick up again.
Initially ev’s, are expensive but the running costs( without public charger use) are very low

But burning fossils fuels, for when that rarely doesn’t happen, is a good solution is it?
I’m not forcing anybody into climate change I am just putting the opposing point of view across and your argument that it is unaffordable doesn’t wash.
I think it’s obvious to everyone that if the wind is blowing it’s better to use that than burn a fossil fuel, for a whole variety of reasons.
I get that you like the sound of a V8 which is why Ferrari have just patented an electric battery system with sound effect to mimic ICE’s.
EV’s are nowhere near saturation, there has been a drop off in demand because the electric price is linked to gas prices, when that drops out of the equation sales will pick up again.
Do you really think authorities had time on their side, like they do with persuading drivers to change their habits, with Covid when lives were being lost?
The 2 situations are not similar in terms of urgency but you chose to support one argument to prove your point then chose the opposite to prove a different issue.

You can’t have your cake and eat it.
In one breath you say Covid vaccines are a stitch up, but the whole world invested in that, then you say green energy is unreliable and unaffordable otherwise the whole world would have implemented it.
You can’t chose the argument to suit your agenda, but you actually are.
From a consumer point of view EV’s are absolutely the way to go. The problem is the UK government have not got a clue what they are doing because they are all bickering in London.
Anyone who invested in green energy a decade ago is laughing all the way to the bank.
My first EV, not the Tesla, was cheaper to run than buying before fiesta despite being many multiples of the Fiesta retail price.
However what I will say about the Tesla, over my German manufactured EV, is that the Tesla works.
Yep the build quality is way better by the Germans but Elon Has nailed the battery technology etc

Apparently he thinks Dubai is the same temperature in July as it is all year round.
That must be why many decamp to climates that are more comfortable, perhaps the onion is sticking the thermometer up his a*se in every location and therefore why the readings are similar everywhere he takes a measurement……

Ortherncopper’s assessment is much more relevant than yours is, comparing a takeover of Noront, whose assets are located in a safe environment politically, geographically, than SOLG’s which are in Ecuador.
To liken the premium to be paid, as similar to the one paid for Noront, is living in cloud cuckoo land and then some……

When you get out of your car, in central England, in mid July and it is hotter than Dubai then you know something is badly wrong with the climate!
That’s what happened last year!

Solg don’t have the financial firepower to withstand any issues, of which there will be many, to get to production.
Many business go under because they think they can do exactly what you are proposing.
This is a huge multi billion project in a third world country it would be difficult enough in Australia it is nigh on impossible for a company the size of Solg to achieve this in Ecuador.
You need huge amounts of liquidity and Solg will not have that for many years, if ever…….
