Who else offers the same service and compatibility as SEE will have with Gen3? Totally agree that they would of learnt by mistakes and learnt what the market needs/wants. TPIs in May & August will still be Gen2 so we wont get a feel until TPIs in Nov and Feb 24.

Geotab & Mobileye must be 5 million atm vehicles, thats alot to go after b4 anyone else. And they are growing monthly.

Smart Eye appears to have effectively been replaced by Seeing Machines in forthcoming BMW models. The 10 BMW models featuring Smart Eye technology are from past wins, such as the X5 (2015) and M8 (2018).

I get as frustrated as most on here & rightly so people are venting their anger at lack of news. I could moan all day but I look for the positives & negatives and then chew it over.
If others were announcing wins all the time & increasing staff I would be thinking what’s the hell going on. But instead our main competitor has cut staff 20% & announces model extensions mostly. Considering between us we are expected to win 80-90% of the Dms & oms market we both have a crap SP atm. Investors want see profit so both of us need to show when and how we getting there that’s believable from the figures coming out. 6 months is sensible to review it atm. I will be watching the next 2 TPIs for real evidence of things coming together. So many factors pointing to better things we just need the news.

GM's U.S. dealers sold 603,208 new vehicles in the first three months of 2023 compared to 512,846 a year ago, boosted by greater access to inventory. For the first time, it sold more than 20,000 electric vehicles in the United States as it pursues building 1 million EV in North America by mid-decade.

“GM is off to a great start in 2023," Steve Carlisle, GM executive vice president and president of North America, said in a statement. "All our brands have a lot of momentum heading into a busy season of new product launches."

The first quarter's EV sales mostly came from the Chevrolet Bolt, which increased by a whopping 54 times to record levels after sales were plagued last year by a recall for battery fire risk. Cadillac Lyriq SUV sales picked up from the fourth quarter with 968 sold. But it sold only two GMC Hummer pickups, down from 99 trucks a year ago.

All of GM's brands saw sales increase year-over-year. Buick sales nearly doubled, Chevy's were up 15.7%, Cadillac's rose 28.7% and GMC's increased by 7.6%.

How much info is he getting to base on? In Smarteye video and Redeye presentation was Euro 10-12 from memory. We all think on here about $10 for SEE.

That said, he still calculates that for the year ending June 30th 2030, SEE will generate US$162.7m from Automotive based on it having a 33.7% share of the market with 32.5m cars in production, 110.2m cumulatively, and an average royalty of US$5.

So if his $162m in Auto is based on $5 what if its really $10?

According to Jha’s analysis, in Automotive he now expects SEE to gain a third of the available market by 2030 as opposed to 50% previously as it seeks to avoid highly competitive tenders, especially in China. That said, he still calculates that for the year ending June 30th 2030, SEE will generate US$162.7m from Automotive.

Wonder what their plan is in China? Theres alot of competition there. Price sensitive markets need a clear plan to win business. Maybe the norror total solution or a more basic product that ticks the boxes? Too big a market not to compete when selling high margin software....

Adressing Driver Fatigue
Falling asleep behind the wheel or being distracted while driving are amongst the leading causes of road accidents worldwide. Our road transport fleets have begun deploying devices that detect signs of microsleeps, fatigue and distraction, and respond by warning drivers so they can take action to stay alert.

This deployment started in 2020, at the Shell-operated QGC facility in Queensland, Australia, where we worked with four universities and eight contracting companies to evaluate fatigue detection devices and to find the one that performed best in testing. The basis for this project was a scientific study commissioned by Shell and other operators to review more than 100 commercially available technological systems that purported to detect fatigue or distraction in drivers.

In 2022, we installed fatigue and distraction detection devices in around 2,400 vehicles operated by Shell or its contractors in countries where road transport risks are highest. By end of 2024, we aim to complete the installation of AFDD devices in vehicles operated by Shell, including both contractor and Shell-owned vehicles.

Legalise Cannabis NSW lead candidate Jeremy Buckingham, who is close to winning a seat in the NSW upper house, is calling for trials to measure driver impairment to ensure those prescribed medicinal cannabis aren’t discriminated against for taking their medication.

One trial may include using driver monitoring technology, which assesses a driver’s fatigue and distraction by scanning the face and eyes.

Her research has been looking at how eye-tracking technology in cars, known as a Driver Monitoring Systems, could be used to monitor the impact of different drugs and different dosages, to see when someone may be impaired versus just having the drugs in their system.

Driver Monitoring Systems will be made mandatory in vehicles sold in the European Union from 2024. The technology alerts the driver when their blinking patterns, eye movements and head positions change. If the monitoring system senses someone has fallen unconscious, the car will slow and pull over, with emergency services notified.
