General Summary
As Qualcomm continues to expand its Automotive footprint, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about helping us transform the next - generation automobile in the areas of the Connected Car, the next generation Digital ****pit and advanced ADAS and Autonomous Driving capabilities.
- The candidate will be responsible for strategic business partnerships with key automakers, Tier-1s and ecosystem players with a focus towards deeper engineering and business model collaboration, joint product development, joint investment opportunities
- The candidate will have global responsibility in this role, working with various Qualcomm regional teams, Qualcomm Ventures, Qualcomm Strategy and M&A as well as product and engineering domains to help establish new long term partnerships
- The candidate is required to have 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry in the areas of product engineering, product development, software development specifically related to Infotainment and Connected Car ecosystems, and/or the development and deployment of ADAS/AD platforms are sought. This role requires an independent thinker, who is curious, able to build foundational relationships, understands the underpinnings of technology, scale and risk : reward equations with new business and technology partnerships
- The ideal candidate will possess a product management or strategic partnership mindset, with expertise in understanding the automotive supply chain, partnership experiences between OEM-T1-T2 partners, a deep understanding of an automaker's business model economics related to the development and deployment of new product and service. The ideal candidate will have experience in structuring multi-party partnerships with a specific focus on joint business models involving shared revenue & investment opportunities
oExperience in the development and deployment of a fully connected car ecosystem, from edge (Infotainment/Telematics) to cloud (SIM/Device/Service/Content management) is highly desired
oExposure to embedded systems and familiarity with heterogeneous compute SoCs, as well as to OS/RTOS ecosystems such as QNX, Android, Linux/AGL/Yocto, ROS is highly desired
oExperience in the development and deployment of an L1-L2 and/or L3 or above driver assistance system, from SoC, sensor and stack selection, Tier-1 engagement, identification of vision, drive policy, driver monitoring and associated systems for the rollout of full system is highly desired
- Communications skills are a key requirement for this role where the candidate will be communicating with the C-suite, senior customer and executive interaction, and media
