17 trading days ago,the SP here was 430p,now 26% below that in such a short time.

Tom...if you put the same question to the people today,polls indicate that the result would be strongly in favour of remain.Shouldnt we do what people want today rather than what they thought 2 years ago?.

How can we stop it?...……...realising that Brexit was the wrong decision might help.Also,the frothy HPI of the last six or seven years had to come to an end for the long term health of the housing market.House prices cant keep increasing more than wage growth without something breaking can it.

Those who have funds to invest must be amazed at the chance to buy here at anything like the current SP,all the homebuilders are pricing in a substantial decline in EPS for the next few years.But how do you persuade potential home buyers to commit to a purchase with all the negative macro comment at the moment?.We have seen all this many times before over the last sixty years and the market always recovers eventually to new higher levels.At around 5X forecast PBT,the company market valuation,it is difficult to see much further downward pressure on the SP,but then,the market does sometimes follow a bewildering path.

Yes but that is going to put the sector under more SP pressure and delay any price recovery although,at current ratings,you would have thought the worst scenario had already been built in.Cant really see next week being a good one.

James....would be interested to see your version of how the update could have been worded.The purpose of the update is to let investors know how the business is doing,not to massage the SP.
