RE: Who owns the data in a clinical trial?11 Oct 2025 12:00
Haywain, I'm sorry of I phrased my question in a way which gave you the impression, I didn't understand that MDA are a research hospital, I get that and understand that HEMO pay for the clinical trials to be done and that recent placings and deals may have secured sufficient trials going forward.
I also understand that the physicians do research and that was where my query was really trying to gain and understanding of the question "who owns the data"
I think you are saying that MDA and by association Dr Short and others do use the product to conduct additional research ( I couldn't even hazard a guess as to how they determine how and what to research into) but if MDA can determine an additional route for expansion of capabilities with the product how does that data become the property of another party other than HEMO.? Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree here and getting hung up on "ownership" when what I really should be focussing on "is who discovered and owns the research" and by definition receives appropriate recognition in the field of oncology.
If MDA find an additional route / benefit in SOC for a product, as well as plaudits do they and their researchers achieve financial reward from that research as the owner of that data?
Finally, may I as a shareholder who stumbled across this share 6 years ago thank you for all the information and support you have provided on LSE and other BBs. and which has made holding this share easier for me by explaining the science and the processes that we have to follow to get HEMO to market.
