Labour are quite with their policy of pushing the “Green” agenda, given that UK is a high cost high risk fossil fuel producer … the problems in the consumer sector are down to the energy cap, that caused smaller players to go bust during Gas price rises a few years ago, that consumers are paying for, weak post 2016 pound, and failures in the energy balancing mechanism in which UK stands alone, in paying renewable energy companies to waste electricity, whilst switching over to Natural Gas at peak times because the battery storage infrastructure is not fully operational to lock in and offload energy from peak generation to peak demand times.

This is Tory incompetence at its finest..

Farmers have been encouraged by the previous government to use land for solar farms to generate extra revenues, whilst farmers themselves thought nothing of selling into the EU to generate extra revenues post the 2016 collapse in the £ whilst expecting lucrative state subsidies c/o the EU membership savings suggested by the likes of Sunak in 2016.

Take on board Farage & Tice’s pledge for cheaper non EU food imports as an alleged benefit of Brexit, with no regard for UK farmers, along with Minford’s ERG led Brexit being equally happy for farmers to fall by the wayside coupled with only the largest landowners being affected by the Labour IHT normalisation … and I don’t have much sympathy for the hypocrisy of Farage & Co or farmers themselves, especially since the wealthier ones were more likely to vote for Brexit, whilst being happy to employ EU labour.

These farming folk complaining about being asset rich, cash poor, accepting government subsidies, whilst keeping assets to avoid paying IHT, need to get in line with the rest of us that have to pay the tax, whilst paying some thought for the poor sods that are both cash poor and asset poor being conned to vote for more poverty with Brexit by the likes of Farage & Tice.

"I think most PIs are positive and believe the BOD." The Q4 dividend payment of up to 4p will in my view depend upon the realization of US tax credits as cash in the bank - where it would be foolhardy to risk the solvency of the company if not realized - and covers the dividend for this year.

Next year and going forwards note that Big Rock is pulling in $14 million a year for 40% of its storage assets ... so whether a similar deal can be struck for the remaining 60% remains to be seen - most certainly if such a deal does pan out, then the dividend going forward looks to be safe along with extra revenues from California Resource Adequacy payments via California state - see Old Bloke's Blog.

Ireland revenues the past 6 months were notably low as some I believe some noted from the monthly factsheet, while the UK remains problematic because of the energy balancing mechanism problems hitting the sector the past year or so - but turning points are noted in the UK market especially by Harmony in its recent release - where Harmony, if I've understood correctly has 2 hour rather than 1 hour duration systems - again referring to Old Bloke and possible cost effective upgrades in the UK market by GSF.

On the plus side, Harmony (HEIT) has put some of its assets up for sale and found buyers, hence the shareprice increase.

One concludes there are gains to be made, opportunities for upside, although with imbalances across various markets, I'm wondering about the added staff cost to manage smaller storage systems across different countries and whether GSF would be better off reducing headcoutn and hence management fees through sale of smaller assets.

The so called tax credit is traded on a secondary US market ... I didn't realize this until this morning - my mistake, but as it stands having looked at the secondary market in more detail ... the uncertainty will be cents in the $ in selling the tax credit to others.

Listening to the podcast now .... current battery storage at 750 with current pricing rate at 15 will cover the 7p dividend.

Shorts closing 12.30 … rotated more from SEIT into GSF … this morning GLA

Indeed so Krusty each to their own … SEIT up 2.5% today bailed those bought yesterday back in here this morning … so that’s 3-4p made on the rotated money. Works for me.

As I posted on SEIT on 28th November:

I'll take close to a 10% profit on a spike as I did today and on this share as it moved up to 61p before the Trump win from around 54p.

Smart money rotates money to make money. Each to their own.

Took money off the table on this morning’s spike … moved into SEIT … average down from 59p a couple of months ago to 54p as of today to include dividends so sitting comfy. Don;t ya love volatile shares.

The “explanation” for the dividend shift was to better align with income streams annually … or at least this year pending monies due from US rebates … the “market” took the shift like a bucket of sick true … but there it is.

At the end of the day, Mr Market will hang itself over a few lines of “Trump” on social media along with threats etc etc etc.

Two years of decline in the sector itself …. and 3 years of decline in UK shares … since world markets recovered from the CV19 bounce … and bond sell of where UK is still struggling … and we know which cretins forced this decline in UK markets.

I sold at 29p with a matching order for 27.5p that looks to have been filled today .... we will see.
