It does coincide with RCF and Regal dissenting shareholders payout. They probably want to keep it on the quiet side and disclose the minimum info for as long as possible.

I said regal has 7200 screens which is demonstrably wrong. My google-fu is failing me. Regal has 6700 screens. That drops my estimate to 1200.

I agree with Hexam. I can only wonder how they made a loss on 3 summer blockbuster US months.

Back of the napkin estimate for me based on this is 1,300M revenue for CINE based on regal's number of us screens. Then 300M UK&I plus 200M ROW.

That would put us 1,700M H1 2022. Short of the high estimate. This is a very optomistic view of a biased shareholder.

You should have sold at 17p. 21p is too high to sell.

We're just reading the earnings report intended for everyone including regular investors.

Aside from the high P/E and many times Adam Aron gave himself a fat bonus during the pandemic, AMC is trying to dilute the shareholders AGAIN.

Shareholder value dropping even further. The opposite of what CINE has been doing.

Weird how the title of the thread tells us the hike was 1.75 instead of a hike of 0.5 to make the new rate 1.75.

Most of CINE's debt is denominated in USD (Regal purchase). IIRC, it only costs Cine 227M to service the debt last year. Compare that to the 3B estimated revenue with a gross margin of 15% and low opex which is common for cinemas.

BOE related movements will be market wide. Not cine specific.

I was thinking of the anti-competitive advantage Studios can give themselves vs competitors. I am not sure this will fit with regulators like how NVIDIA's ARM purchase ended up.

Looks like studios can buy/own cinema chains now in the US.

It is indeed amazing how NHC dismantled its close position while price and volume remained relatively stable.

Then again, Elon took a 5% then successively 10% stake in Twitter without much price shock except when elon intended it. The big players surely have acess to information and facilities we can only dream of.

I still think NHC is on to something closing shorts instead of waiting/hoping for 0p.

The studios are getting in line with the return of cinema. Paramount with 120 day window. Disney with 45 day window minimum. Plus that awesome lineup.

And then WB this time. All we need is netflix not shafting their bigger productions and giving it a cinema window. Imagine spending 200m but earning less than A24's productions.
