I still agree with market estimates of reduced damages to pay by CINE which is more likely than the others. How much they can reduce it by and on which terms will be up to the judge and each companies' lawyers respectively.

The appeal is not a cointoss. CINE has submitted 4 possible outcomes and PLEX submitted 4 outcomes of their own. Only in one of those 8 is the damages higher or equal to the 1.2B CAD damages.
Another possibility is an out of court settlement where both sides say they win.
Lastly, Some are also suggesting CINE just refuse to pay since we have zero business in canada so we are not under their jurisdiction then drag Plex in another court case in the US.

Wow after Vue's value was cut in half, its market cap is now just 2.4x as much as CINEWORLD.

CINE has 9189 screens compared to vue's 2400.

Cine did say they were cash flow positive on Oct 2021. US Boxoffice then was 600M. Then again UK&I hit 127% of 2019 revenue on that month.

For reference US Boxoffice on q4 2021 was ~2B. US Boxoffice for q2 2022 is ~2.2B.

Q1 may be a net loss but Q2 has been 80-90% of 2019 levels. It could be a breakeven up to a small profit. They emphasized on selling/closing less profitable sites and other efficiency measures last year.

They used the meme money to keep them from bankruptcy. Then paid themselves a fat bonus. Then diluted the shares some more. And now a dilu-vidend to fleece the hodlers even more.
