Call me a short-termer, but I certainly wouldn't like to be sitting on 'dead' money for another year.
If AS can be taken at his word that they are aiming at "the very near term" to get to market, I think it would not be true that his word if it was a year down the line. I would be disappointed in him and lose faith somewhat if this goes on for months and months now.
Obviously there will be an incremental stage uplift to this (If successful) from initial success of trials, to getting the marketing ramped up , getting it out there in the US and China.
Then income...
And hopefully sometime during this process - a buy out for big bucks.
Also Brondby, and probably more importantly, there will be other companies out there trying to develop the same/similar, and to that extent all these biotechs are quite time sensitive. The longer the time the more the risk.
It does appear that they are very close to capitalising on the technology with the distribution deals, and JESS system..but I understand the frustration of LTH's in at significantly higher price.
However, based on past Biotechne buy-outs, this should be $100Mill+ with additional goal-based additional hikes for sales success.
Still have an issue with the name! It's very poor ! Sounds like a very bad fizzy pop, or some bad men's mag from the 70s! I know it's based on the Ciz protein, but it sounds childish and unprofessional. And that silly kindergarten sun logo!
Still, it won't matter a jot if the tech is good :o)
