@Trippy, yes I am thinking the institutions in Australia need our shares and they want them cheap. I am also thinkintg that leaving bus to languish on AIM means we cant join the FTSE 250 where UK instituions would be mandated to buy. So best to get us to sell up by fair means or foul and what better time than in the thin pre Christmas market. Shame that the Gold price just won't play ball.

I actually think the company would prefer the UK shareholding to dwindle over time and for those shares to be traded on the ASX. I think the unsettling of the market here yesterday has helped with that .

@loftmonkey57 , bamps has been spot on from a geology perspective but I thought tht prior to today he avoided commenting on the SP. Each to their own but the weight of Aussie opinion is that the shares are worth 535p. I believe they make their decisions based on info other than that provided by Bamps.

All of the fuss about Bamp's post is OTT imv. IF there were any significant production issues the Aussie investors would know - there will be lots of family links to the 2000 plus workforce . So the fact they pushed the price up to 535 , just a few hours ago is all I need to know. Throw in a strong gold price and all is OK imv.

I am no influencer but I have just topped up at 509. Why? well only 6 hours ago lots of aussies were buying above 530 and someone will start to arbitrage that discrepancy imv.

I am grateful that so many people are prepared to share their knowledge and opinions about the company, the price of gold, investing and their own tactics and I would therefore like to offer my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has posted today. There is probably enough material here for someone to write a PHD on human behaviours . Merry Christmas to you all.

@Matty, you deserve some good luck as what you did for your father was very noble and most people are too selfish to do similar. However, whatever happens wrt your personal wealth, I bet you would give it all up to have him back. Good luck for 2026!

I used to work in the business that has just been sold and frankly Wood have played a blinder. IMV it is only worth £5m not £57m - just look at the profits and liabilities etc. The buyer must just want the access to the client list. Well done the BOD - first good decision in 3 years.

I sold out a few weeks ago as the lack of news about the drill results was the final nail in the coffin built by Lenigas. Good Luck All.

I think I mentioned a few months ago that so many of our shares are in sticky hands the buyback would have an effect much larger than the percentage being bought.That is surely happening now and without anything else changing the sp will be rising significantly as the buy back continues. GLA.

The current share price makes sense onlf if;

1. the POG rapidly falls to the value in the Study.

2. There is no extension to the life of Telfer beyond that published.

3. Havieron life and size is limited to the values in the study

4. the company has zero success with its other projects

5. There is no M and A activity involving the company.

The chances of all of the above coming to pass is close to zero in my book. Therefore I shall be buying more. The SP should be significantly higher simple.

I am not one for conspiracy theories but I firmly believe our sp is being held down to allow the likes of blackrock to load up and shorts to close. I have contrasted our SP with that of Serabi [ which I also hold] and that is almost back to its ath, on no news other than POG. We have released the study today and are still some way off our ATH and that is ridiculous. I am adding again today.

Unless you are selling in th next few weeks the sp is not that relevant. What really matters is the gold price, which is up again , as that is what is filling the coffers. So just chill my advice

@Rom, of course the government are about to change course - the BBC is their official mouth piece. Always ask, 'why are they telling me this' not 'what are they telling me'. With that mindset the news makes sense. MSM the same.

Until the last few minutes the volume was only 1 million shares, and a couple of big trades seem to have been reported around the close. Not seen such huge numbers before and would love to know who did the trades. I feel we are being manipulated but I am not selling whatever they do!
