I think there will be a small number of labour voters, who fancy another candidate and they might vote tctically for Reform at the by election - we shall see.

As I see it, until we get a goernment that realises it needs to help us all get more wealthy it doesn't matter who replaces Starmer . We are now number 20 in gdp per capita and now doubt continuing to fall as our population rises.

Having re read the RNS, the higher the share price rises over the next 2 days the more money the bond holders get. No doubt they will be buying positions to push the sp higher. What do we do? Bale if we think IAG will refuse to pay the amount rquired? or hang in there. I might reduce tmrw if sp goes up much further. Thoughts welcome.

Smiffy, as I see the bond buy back - they are able to buy back the shares at a huge discount - so great news - and the leverage numbers will look better which makes us more investible. The city likes it abviously.

WAs expecting a much larger lift in sp today - surely should ahve risen in percentage terms , double oil price rise?

Having invested since flotation, I have to say I thought the results were poor - we obviously overpaid for the USA acquisitions. however the share buy back announced today amiounts to around 10% of the freefloat so the shares will inevitably rise over the coming year. Running this business for cash has taken hold [again] so I will hold for another 30 years or so.......

I think there may be an attempt today to walk the sp down, take out the stops and secure a decent batch of UK shares to transer over to Aus to make up what has just been bought by the ETF and in readiness for monday. If you look at the ASX price chart from last night it is imv obviously what they did.

I have used Barc, HL and ii for over 20 years and HL have by far the most unreliable systems and most robust rebuttal of any legitimate claims. If you think they are difficult now wait until there are larger trading volumes - the systems won't give prices or let you trade at opportune times - is my experience. I have recently opened an account with IG index and imho they are the best by far - zero commissions decent spreads and decent systems. DYOR of courtse.

It is possible that the aussie short is a hedge against a long gold position , as we are pure play gold, and if push comes to shove small enough for the short sellers to work their dirty tricks on. I have topped up this morning.

It is not me, so that leaves another 64 million possibilities - assuming UK based.

Three benefits arise from this; firstly the value of our ore in the ground is higher, secondly the cash flowing into the business rises by a huge amount and thirdly as our cash pile grows the interest accrued from the banks becomes significant. Just need the sp to respond logically.

With POG at ATH, other miners like Serabi are up 3.3% but the FUD spread here has held us back. I am more than suspicious and come the new year this 'episode' will be seen for what it is imv.

@Aimingtoplease , MM's are mopping up at 516 in UK ready to offload on ASX in 12 hrs time at 536. Nice work if you can get it.

Bamps has been very helpful to the company and indeeed us investors through sharing information and explaining it to investors thereby keepin the SP up on the UK market . However the company does not need that any more and may not even want that anymore. I hope he returns to posting but maybe his work is done.

@Chris - I think there is a way to transfer UK shares across to the ASX , if you want to sell some more, or indeed buyback here first!

Bought some more at 522 and 519 bargain when Aussies paid 536 just 4 hours ago.
