The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I am looking forward to the closing down sale! I have a 70 year old relative who said it is the best place for a decent woolen jumper , which will surely be cheap once as we enter warmer weather. Maybe JD should relaunce as ' Sagadry' ?
Nobody voted for net zero and our government will soon realise that supporting that goal by all means at their disposal will be their undoing ,as it will labour's in due course. I think we have a tough 6 years ahead unless the two main parties are replaced by more people friendly parties.
For me the big unknowns are progress with dewatering , [are we emptying lake victoria or something smaller] and what will happen to the 70%. I think we are due some sort of opinion on how much progress has been made on the former.
I dont think JD can accept the rality that his sdry dream is over. Failed brand so he is casting around for funding and no doubt his last throw of the dice will be to salavage something from administration with the hope of breathing life into the corpse. Best bet for all would be under Mike Ashley or next frankly with JD sat at home enviously watching his succesful partner,
Bad news in rns today.
Well, I want this company to re list on nadaq and get the growth rating it deserves. Div is a bit of a sideshow vs capital appreciation.
RNS indicates huge grwoth and growing cash pile with more to come this year. Sp should rise around 10^% imv.
3 others announced delisting on Thursday; Sdry,Mole and snd. In those 3 cases the major shareholders are thr founders who believe , imv , they can regain control and make more money for themselves as a private company. Ring any bells here folks?
If the sp falls to say 12p on Tuesday, the mcap at £12m might look attractive to the likes of Mike Ashley who has a stated aim of taking his group up market and he could operate without the expensive loans that are hobbling the company just now.
As an aside, anyone remember the great announcements JD made when he sacked the previous ceo, about the great reset of the brand . Laughable - the previous team must be feeling much better just now given he has really messed up.
Yesterday was the worst day I can recall for shenanigans; 3 companies with large shareholder founders announced delisting, this one plus Sondrel and Molecular Industries. Memo to self stay away from any company where one person has too much power as they will shaft investors if they have a chance to do so whilst enriching themselves.
You will still own the shares , I have some in a delisted company but I get no communication from the bod. I think Levine will be better than that however and you will get accounts/meeting notifications.
On a broader point that is 3 companies today effectively going private , Molecular industries, Sondrel and sdry and in all cases the lack of appetite from the city for supporting british companies should be worrying the government. Is the UK really that uninvestible? Where are we heading?
