FWIW my understanding is that Halifax can be seen as "Lancaster North", sharing the Rona Ridge geology .. therefore it makes sense to verify the productivity in Lancaster first, and "read through" to Halifax pending drilling .. meanwhile the assets shared with Spirit have to be examined given partnership obligations ... daltry, don't think there's any darkness there .. I've regularly experienced the same, with HL (whom I use and rate) and previously others .. if liquidity is poor at the time (poor order flow or buy-sell imbalance), the price for volume on one side of the market will differ from the low vol price ("the touch"). Often you can do half your order at the touch, and might be able to do the balance at the same price immediately after .. worth experimenting like that? And avoid dealing between 0800 and 0810 and 1620 and 1630. GL ..

"HSBC" is in fact listed as "HSBC Global Custody Nominees", so most probably not HSBC, but one or more shareholders utilising their custody service. Also, the next 8 named "shareholders" are also all custody services. Elsewhere, I noticed that the total project finance package is intended to be ZAR 871 mln (the phrasing seems to imply this includes the ZAR 244 mln already raised). (ZAR 871 mln = approx $63 mln at today's spot). GLA

Hi Tony .. Its gas, a mile or two offshore, off the N Yorks National Park. Previous idea was to drill diagonally from a site in the sand dunes .. now talking about vertical drill thro the sea, poss because worried about hullabaloo re protecting the park (remember Sirius Minerals, same park). .. problem with this is... what is the route to market for gas from FPSO? There are no partners, EDR seeks farm-out pre-drill. Hope this helps..

Interesting that they are going to look at offshore vertical drilling of the A Prospect rather than diagonal drilling from within the N Yorks National Park .. could be a lot easier to get permitted given the length of the Sirius potash saga .. not sure though how the gas would be moved to market? gorillacramp ... very interesting co, I like the high return on equity that can finance supplementary inorganic growth ... I'm modelling a divvy of one-third of eps, just for a stab in the dark ... think the principal risk is that it's usually a "subbie", dependent on the lead contractor to get biz and then get paid on time ... though it has gained independent contractor status in the rail sector... I haven't jumped in yet but definitely attracted .. GL

although rest of financing won't necessarily be immediate, it should be easy to obtain, as it will be repayable very quickly from cash flow (see cash flow projections in presentations on co's web site). If a %age of cash flow were pledged to repayment (i.e. a revenue bond) that would lower the interest rate, and mgt will be negotiating accordingly...

This makes Cuadrilla/Lancashire all the more important ..... if (due by Oct 6) HMG overturns LCC's "no", there will then be some precedent for HMG reversing a council "no" after the officers said "yes"..... Lab and LD councillors may well overturn the planning officers' recommendation for Springs Rd ... but then (assuming all has gone well of Cuadrilla) we can expect HMG to to overturn a council "no" at Springs RD....

I believe it is brexit .. the large cos with foreign profits manufacture very extensively overseas and a falling pound will help them, simply by translating foreign earnings at a better rate. But PMP relies on exports to a significant degree. Leaving the EU-USA trade agreement would be a blow, and it would take many years to negotiate a UK-USA pact. PMP does have some pieces made for it by contract mfrs overseas .. hopefully these can be directed to USA and Korea sales, with mfg in the Potteries directed to the UK market. But I believe jobs in Staffs are vulnerable, and I hope mgt will be saying to workforce "don't vote against your job".

Sometimes the price published by AIM (now 10.75 bid, 11 offered) is wrong. My broker's price right now is 10.9 bid, 11.85 offered. This is probably because Friday's purchase orders have caused the market makers to be short of stock. I am a bull, but people normally advise in these circumstances to wait a bit hoping for selling orders to renormalise the MM's books. This share is often very illiquid ... tiny orders can cause a sharp swing ... this increases trading costs, so logically it is one to own only on a long term view IMO ...

KM decision today ..IMO 1/3 chance of yes, with SP up to 11; 2/3 chance of no, with SP down to 8. But a no will be temporary .. and meanwhile the focus will shift to Cuadrilla/Lancs, where we will have an overruling "yes" soon .. so if we see a dip on a KM temporary no, that's an opportunity IMO ... one year later, more of same.. excellent LFLs, 6% divvy hike again .. stock has outperformed FTSE by 25% over past 12 months ... bit of a boring stock really LOL ... if there are any fellow owners out there GL!
